Is anyone running this on their sled? I've tried both the Cat Grille and the stock Yamaha Grille. I'm fed up with the giant block of ice up front and the 90-100 degree intake temps that go along with it.

If you are running this setup please post a pic of your sled with it installed i would also like to hear how it has worked for you.

I run something different on mine. It's expensive but I find it looks stock.

But I wouldn't be scared to try Travis' setup, specially at his price tag.
All his Sidewinder parts are A1. It shows the guy rides the sleds he makes parts for !

Where did you pick up that setup?

I am running the Barn of Parts setup and working great!

I will find pics for you.

Thanks. I'll have this before next season. I'm done with the stock setup. When I ride with my Dad, he always leads. By the end of the day my intercooler is frozen solid. I was seeing intake temps of 90-105 degrees on Saturday.

At one point it was running in the 70's. I pulled over and chipped all the ice out and it immediately dropped to 50.

Installed BOP guard last winter. Version 1.0 cut my plastic to fit as I didn’t care for the look without it. Do a lot of back country touring/ breaking trails at lower speeds and it stays virtually snow/ice free. There is some ice build up in colder temps -20*C on lower 1/4 but I say it works as advertised and is 100% better than stock

I have taken my grill right out , if you don't off trail the sled much u don't have anything to worry about . My motorcross rads took way more beating than what the sidewinder grill will ever see .( 450 class will break fingers from roost... lol )

The inner grille, or the outer grill, or both?

Also have cut out behind intercooler, and installed breathable liner . water & snow resident material that I had on my airbox mod lid on my Apex .

Do you have any snow getting in with the cutout in the front like that i thought about doing that but these things already get so much snow in bottom i was worried about it.

Thanks

IMG_5963.JPG IMG_5964.PNG I have this pre filter material over the cut outs , from SLP .

This is a pic after I buried my sled in a huge drift across an abandoned rail bed after I shoveled it out. Nose cone is clear
