They did grow, last year only a few spring order models. This year expanded line up with in-season orders. Baby steps, the other manufactures did not offer anything new/high tech earth shattering.Really?? Its to bad some of you guys are so thin skinned that you can't handle the fact that some of us are a little negative to the fact that Yamaha doesn't want to grow!

What concerns me is the lack of actual improvements to the existing line of sleds. I ride stock except for personal upgrades, windshield, storage, traction aids, etc. The 2020 Sidewinder GT is my 2017 Sidewinder LTX-GT with cheaper shocks, and a better windshield, storage for $400 more. Same Gen III skis everyone on here and in the magazines crap about. Really Yamaha, you don’t even listen to your base on a simple update. I read constantly about bearing failures, chaincase issues, any updates to these components, nope. Why can’t we have some real choices on our spring snowcheck order? I anticipate Snowchecking a new sled and before delivery, the dealer must tear it apart to install an ice ripper track. Poo & Doo let you order one on snowcheck. I have been buying my Yamahas from the same dealer for 18 years and am loyal Yamaha blue, but they certainly seem tone deaf to customer feedback.

I would be more interested in the status of Yamaha & Textron currently & going forward to 21 -22 ??? Is there going to be a new yama -kitty or are we going to be blessed with a all Yamaha turbo ?

Here’s my opinion on this and I’m sure it encompasses a lot of others thoughts or maybe previous comments. I’m a snowmobile guy no matter what brand. I came to Yamaha for four stroke reliability and I personally think the pro ross chassis is pretty damn good. Are there issues, of course. I know it really hasnt been updated but you/we are riding pretty good machines. I think it would be fantastic if Yamaha absorbed cat. They could bring back some of the sports most notable people from cat. Have Yamaha engineers and cat engineers work side by side to develop a few sleds that can rival doo and Polaris. I’m sure on their forums they aren’t jumping for joy on the 2020 release in their perspective brands. One less manufacturer would be a good thing for the sport. More competitive products with 3 pushing each other as opposed to two competing with each other (doo, Polaris) and then cat and Yamaha trying to work together in a relatively dis functional relationship which seems to have two different philosophy’s. Just my opinion

To me the issue is that there are to may holes in the lineup. Say that you're on a Snoscoot and wants to upgrade. But what would you upgrade to? The step from the Snoscoot to a Viper or SW or even the 600 2s is a bit hefty.
The only logical thing is to look elsewhere. I'm actually quite baffled that Yamaha didn't cover this hole in the lineup.
I myself is on a SW BTX, and what shall I switch to, I'm not saying upgrade because pretty much everything is a downgrade from the SW. But eventually I will switch to something else but today there are nothing is the Yamaha lineup that is remotely interesting for that.

That's why I asked what the status of the joint deal , they should have had at least one new model this year . Nothing happened, and even the sidewinder is do for a chassis upgrade in 21 ????To me the issue is that there are to may holes in the lineup. Say that you're on a Snoscoot and wants to upgrade. They could have at least put the Phazer motor into the Pro Cross chassis. That would have been easy to do IMO. Yeah the chassis might be a little big for someone coming off of a snoscoot but at least they would have had the option of a lower horsepower sled. I'm really starting to get the idea that Yamaha doesn't really care about the customer and what they want. Its all about what THEY(Yamaha) wants and thinks is the coolest. Maybe I'm wrong but sure seems like that.To me the issue is that there are to may holes in the lineup. Say that you're on a Snoscoot and wants to upgrade. But what would you upgrade to? I really want a midsized fan cooled four stroke for simple fun. I agree 100% they need stepping stones. My son is only 5 so snoscoot will be good for many more years, but what next? I have no interest in a 2 stroke. These mid sized units will not be real big money makers, but if nothing is done to address entry level simple more economical sleds for youth and even adults there will be no one in the sport to buy the high end units down the road.

Maybe in CA. not in US for 2019, snow check only on limited new units and some left overs from past couple seasons to purchase. Arctic Cat spring order only for 2020 trying to reduce their glut of sleds still out there. Doo and Poo still have a crap load of sleds current and past model years sitting in show rooms here in Michigan with steep discounts affecting the resale on the used market here.Same old same old....They had in season models in 2019 too

Yup, I was just thinking the triple cylinder with the 3 separate heads like the SRX, but the single pipe like the SXR to fit a narrow chassis

I have a couple of buddies that follow these companies like Textron which are profit driven, they say that Textron will eventually break up Cat and slowly sell it off, the sled division they feel will go first, also a tid bit of info... rumor has it CF moto has been lurking and asking questions in regards to Cat sleds, hmm, if CF moto took over the Cat sled division.. that would make them a Siamese Cat...lol
What's funny about that rumor, is the larger Cat dealers in our region have taken on CF Moto as an alternative to AC offroad vehicles. And I think that was prior to Textron changing the name back to AC. As many assumed the sled division would be spun off.

If only there were some form of easily accessible media in which Yamaha could break their almost total silence and enlighten us on what their vision is.
