Great job bud!
Man, do I remember that day! I remember the sleds out the door and around the corner of the building waiting for us to sync the carbs in :)
Glad you didn't mention the icebox incidents....LMAO!
Good times brother!
The spacers on the stock clamps were cut down a year ago because of an issue BlueByYou2000 and I talked about.
From what I see, there are no boost leaks..... unless I have an issue with my intake, blow off valve or i-cooler....I don't see issues.
The White/Blue SW was only changed from...
Hi bud! (I just messaged you on FB), but will fill in what I have been doing on asphalt lately.
Just to update everyone, the June race was canceled due to very bad weather.
We raced July 10th (this past weekend) and didn't run the White/Blue Sidewinder, but did run the Black/Orange...
Just a little add-on here....
Purchased another SW and already have the sled changed from stock form to everything EVO as mentioned in the above post. Now we will have the 2 SW's running next to each other to see how they compare on asphalt and this winter.
5/22/21 Mid Michigan Motorplex
Temps were very warm, 86-88° and humid
Gusty winds at 25mph at times
First thing is, I remembered the darn key this time...lol
The sled pulled the skis a little more than last year. Suspension setup is the exact same as last year (I have an extra rear stock...
The XTX 2014 actually had decent skis stock...so a set of 6 inch carbides will make it turn very nice and not be too aggressive. I like a lot of transfer to carry my skis on take off and still can rail the corners or be able to turn when I have to. My limiter straps were pretty much to the...
We race at Stanton (Mid Michigan Motorplex), but we also do testing at other tracks when time allows us to do so.
Race #1 SUN, 25 APR AT 10:30 EDT MSADRA ****Completed****
Race #2 SAT, 22 MAY AT 15:30 EDT MSADRA
Race #3 FRI, 25 JUN-26 JUN MSADRA (2-day event)
Race #4 SAT, 10 JUL AT...
4/27/21
Went to the track and thought I was all set to make some passes on the new tunes.....well, that didn't happen as there is this little thing that the sled needed to run, which was left at home....it's called a key. :o|:o|:o|:o|:o|:o|:o|:o|:o|:o|
Talk about kicking myself in the #*$&@. The...
Yes, always adjust your pressure with the skis off the ground and the rear suspension off the ground.
Winter to summer will be not the same...always good to check pressure before a good ride in winter
This are 2 pics from testing my fuel yesterday.
1st pic here is VP C14+, brand new unopened can. RVP should be at 5 psi at 100° (this can of fuel passes my test with a pubic hair under 5 psi)
Now, here is a pic of my VP 113 that I run in my race quads and in my special edition Pace & Safety...
Taken 100's of these apart.
Gotta heat the spyder really good.
SW clutches have normal right hand thread, where the previous styles (Apex,Viper,Nytro,SRX,...etc) have left handed thread.
My experience...
And I have used a lot of different race fuels..... MR8, C14+, MR9, Import, C-16, C-12 and 113. Race fuels are finicky and can cause a huge headache if you aren't using the correct fuel.
Torco Fuel Accelerator is the only octane can I will put in my trail sleds. It is by far...
Thank you so much!
I strive to get my sled to my liking and not have any issues....as we all know that when you have issues, it's irritating and isn't fun anymore. But it's not just keeping the information to myself as I want everyone to go fast, be safe, put on lots of miles and enjoy their...
I've used the stock suspension in all my Pro Cross chassis. The Vipers since 2014 and the SW since 2017.
Front shock is stock, jam nuts all the way loose to the point where no more threads are showing. Front torque arm about 3/4 to 1 inch from hitting the rubber pad. Rear shock taken out and...
