Polaris 155 series 5.1-2.4 track will it fit?

Yes, you are correct!! You need a 7 tooth 2.86 pitch driver set. I have this exact track on my Nytro and had a helluva time finding the 2.86 7t drivers, but I DID find them. :) Track is awesome, floats like a boat, claws like a panther, I rarely get stuck now. It's DEFINITELY worth the...

    Spark Plugs

^x2! Nice post, ski! Octane ratings and fuel quality are commonly misconceived as being the same thing. NOT true. Octane rating, is, more or less, a fuel's ability to resist spontaneous ignition (i.e. detonate prior to the introduction of a spark). The higher the number, the more...

    Track Questions

That appears to me to be a stock Arctic Cat pulloff Challenger Extreme...it's a bit of a misnomer...it's not the 2.5 hard paddle track that everyone raves about, is a mid compound track that's 2.25" paddle. Much better than the maverick, for sure.....not sure how much better the 2.5" extreme is...

500 mile service, was a bit spendy

Re: Warranty I do ALL of my own maintenance, for the fact that I really don't trust any young and low paid shop worker to really DO the right thing with my baby. I've learned the hard way with loose bolts and axles on motorcycles to trust only me. Plus, it makes you understand and keep an...

Timbersled Rear Skid - That Good?

Care to elaborate?? Better and then some, in what ways??

Timbersled Rear Skid - That Good?

So let me get this straight....I have stock Yammi rails on my Timbersled skid Nytro...If I were to just swap my rails for cat rails my approach angle will improve? The Mtn Tamer suspension components for my Nytro don't have to be changed, just the rails? Sounds very cool....

Timbersled Rear Skid - That Good?

One word: Monumental. That sums up the difference. I was just about to sell my Nytro before this season because I, too, was frustrated with getting stuck and not being able to follow my buds on their Summits, even track poaching. MTdream strongly suggested the Mtn Tamer skid so I went with...

How do you like your skis, MT? (the times that they are actually ON the snow I guess...)

Should I switch from a 800 summit xp to a nytro

^x2 for the skid, I went with a Polaris '09 Series 5.1 track from a D700 (pulloff). My buddies can't believe the difference this year over the stock setup....I was always following and hanging back from the hill climbs last year, this year I'm breaking trail and almost high marking them...

    timbersled, is it great?

Wise choice! And Justin at Code Red is an excellent guy to work with! Congrats, you'll love it! Best advice I could have received on my Nytro, and it came from MTDream late fall...

Disappointed after this weekend's U.P. Michigan trip...

You gotta gas it to get the track spinning at the same time you are entering the "sidehill" position...mine is effortless. Do you have any experience sidehilling on other machines?

Picking Up a Loud Growling Noise

How are your hyfax? I had mine worn low enough that the nubs on my track were rubbing on the bottom shock mount of my skid (Timbersled...), not sure if the stock will have the same condition. Another possibility is the PTO side bearing on the drive shaft.....maybe it's developing some some...

Should I switch from a 800 summit xp to a nytro

Otis, you hit the nail on the head. I, too, have a ton of respect for the performance of the XP's in the steep and deep....however, each of my friends who has one has spent time in the shop through the year fixing the minor defects and keeping them running at that level. They seem to hold up...

Should I switch from a 800 summit xp to a nytro

Here here! Since I've updated my track and installed a Timbersled skid, my Nytro will float with the best of them. It still won't beat the 800's in the steep and deep, but it WILL go there!! And it will do it day after day without whining or even whimpering. Turn the key and hit the fun...

    Top Three Mods Under $1000

Best advice I've received on this sled, and it was from MTDream. I swapped tracks and put the TS skid on it this year and it's like re-learning a new sled....it's THAT much different. Save your pennies, and git r done.

    Top Three Mods Under $1000

I second the track....then spend some dough on the rear suspension. $1000 isn't enough to make a world of difference, but maybe some Apex torsion springs would help. Clutching is helpful, as stock rpms are a meager 7900-8150, when you ought to be in the 8600-8900 range.

    Hi-Jacker Recomondations

Good to see customer service, although at $300 for a little bit of aluminum, I think they can afford to send out a few replacement plates. I don't see the reason for this to be so dang expensive. $150ish should be more like it. I think they were $175 when they first came out?
