Hey Jake...Sorry had to cut ya short today. Meeting deadlines sucks. Still at work now...Just took a 5 minute break. My shop is swamped along with keeping up with the snow shows and SledStart etc...Man I don't know what direction I am going...LOL
I'll touch base with ya soon...
Can't wait to see all the final upgrades on that puppy. Have not even looked at my sled other than dragging it all over the place for SledStart...

Well I got to work on the sled again today.
Started off by getting a bottle of brake fluid.
Got to the garage and looked at the cap on it takes DOT4
Well its off to put the Apex bars on had to drag the sled out of the corner again.
First thing I needed to do was remove the rivet on the bottom of the bars
Bars on the sled.
I first changed the Parking Brake you can see the new cable is about 2-3 inches longer.
I removed the spring on the brake to make it easier to install.
Then the Brake Line.
Again the line is about 2-3-inches longer
I had to disconnect part of the reverse linkage to remove the brake caliper.
The Choke Cable was next.
Starting to come together now.
Now Throttle Cable time I didn't get a pic but I used a punch to hold the carb open to aid in the change of the throttle cable.
With all Cable changed its now time to put it back together.
I put the bar pad back on for now to hide all the connectors I'm going to extend the wires.
IT LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!! Let me know what you think.
More to come not completely done but 90% there.

Ya I know I want to show it off just right now its rideable im getting the itch bad right now. I still have to extend the wires to put the connectors under the hood, the skid to swap out L.E.D lights and H.I.D. Headlights to do. But atleast if we have a freak dumping of snow I can still ride.

Sounds like a plan and youre good to go. Question......When you get around to lengthening your wires, are you going to use a MX pad on top of the riser and cover up your engraving? G.B.

no I'm going to put the wires in wire loom to give it a clean look and keep the top cap out in the open for all to see.

That makes sense. I am not sure that a MX pad like the ROX I put on would do much to protect me if I center punched a tree anyways. I think I will look to extend my wires next summer so so I can clean up my bars and uncover my 5" ROX riser. It is not as nice looking as your Superman, but it would still be cool to see it. Good Luck and keep us posted on your progess! G.B.

I have been thinking of doing a sled wrap as well IF I do I'm going to get this one. I have alway been a fan of the Aliens movies and this one would make it one of a kind in my area.
