When sled is airborn or suspenion is hanging it can rub.. (track will bounce up and down)
Ive got studs right down the middle with the track set a factory specs, and have NO wear issues!
the track wore into the shock on my Old ZR700 too..
Not much room up there between the track and the shock!

If it rubs a bit it is not a big deal.
