Thanks for that!! Every bit of information helps me piece this together. I was just at the dealer and he was thinking the same thing. We dug out the diagram from the yamaha service manual which is a bit bigger. But we were tracing them back and were confused by the yellow markings on the wires. 2 brown on the right are different. 1 has 2 and the other only has 1. On the left side both brown has 2 markings. All the blue have just 1 yellow marking. I took photos of the service manual and am trying to make sense of it. Any insight from anyone is welcome here. I want a pretty positive idea of what they are before I energize this thing in case I accidentally fry something. On a side note I’m thinking of getting a tomcat. I’ve had a huge issue with mice this year. It’s cost me a lot of time and money. From house to car to sleds it’s extensive. So much destruction from those little bastards!Just about positive they are all ground wires. should be a ground block at other end of chewed wires. Just wrap wires together (keep all brown and all blue with same) and solder. Tape or shrink wrap and you should be good. Going from memory but think I have it right.

Maybe Travis from Barn of Parts could help you. He has probably taken apart a lot of them.

Thanks!! Waiting for a callback. I think sxray is correct. After an educational experience correlating wiring schematic layout compared to actual wiring harnesses in the machine I’ve routed them back to their locations. They appear to be grounding circuits. But to be sure I’m hoping Travis at BOP can shed some light. Even if I have to purchase a wire harness to see their layout. Just don’t want any chance of designated circuit corruption if they’re all hooked together color coordinated.Maybe Travis from Barn of Parts could help you. He has probably taken apart a lot of them.

both my sleds and any gear in garage loaded up w moth balls. they sell at the dollar store. i just dumped them into eng belly pan and put a bag of them up front. they smell first cpl months but gets better. no need to make a cat suffer out in the garage they are pets

I never had the problem till I moved in March. I normally just put dryer sheets everywhere in the camper and never have an issue. I’ll be making sure to correct this next storage season. What a damn mess these critters make!!

Last winter buddies sled would only start for a second or two then quit.
He said hey I seen something fly out the tail pipe.
Looked in there with light and it was packed tight with grass and cloth bits both sides.

So I connected the the blue wires together with each other and also the browns. Plugged everything in but didn’t put it all together just to test. Everything works except it doesn’t fire. Turns over great and no codes on the gauge. Just won’t fire at all like no spark. Fuel pump works and all seems normal. Just won’t fire. What am I missing?

I tried that no dice. I did find the junction of the blue wires the mice chewed off though. So all the blue wires together is correct. The browns all together seems to also be the only way everything works. Just seems to be no spark. Does the air box need to be installed? Where do I start testing to diagnose?Might just need new plugs

pull a coil and buy a cheap in line spark tester . they sell LED ones at auto parts store for like 5 bucks. make sure you got spark first. then pull off seat double check fuel pump activation. maybe pull off a line and make sure fuel comes out(aim into a milk or antifreeze jug in case it shoots out )

The sled is able to perform its own spark test as well as diagnose every component. Sign up to this site and you can access the procedures.
