12 miles per gallon 06 Vector?

Yep the rivets can be changed out , just go to the tech area of this site and see what stock is, and what is available.
I have to disagree with " yamaha clutchs are junk"
my viper still has the same wts in it after 12000 miles, although i did belt sand the faces at about 9000 miles.
I have 4500 on the RS vector and rage....I will check the wts for wear today after hearing some of the comments posted....could be all the torque these 4s have is tougher on the clutch.

The weights in primary clutch have rivets in them .As your sled wears in
the RPMs start to creep up over 8500 I replaced the rivets in the weights
with heavier ones it brought the RPMs down to 8300 .the fuel mileage increase was a bonus . I don't know what weight they are but they were the biggest ones ofered buy Yamaha for there stock clutch .you take the weights out drill out the old rivets and install new ones .

the vectors have 2 rivets in each weight, they are 13.9 mm long and weigh 3.6g,remove those and install the 17.2mm long rivets that weigh 4.5,will help with acceleration and gas mileage both, also if your planning a long trip and dont really care about performance, set your secondary spring to 50 instead of 60 and replace the primary y-s-y spring with a y-p-y or a w-p-w,your 50mph cruising rpm with drop by 500 rpms and gas mileage goes way up

Great info!!! A couple of questions please:

1. How do you change your secondary spring from 60 to 50?
2. Must you change the secondary setting to 50 in order to use a different primary spring?
3. Can I change the rivets myself or am I better off having a dealer (in my case) change them? I can remove and reinstall the weights myself.
4. Can I just change the rivets and leave the other stuff alone..or should I do all of this at the same time?

Thanks again! ;)!

we did just the rivets on my buddies with good results, the secondary has inner and outer holes, just get the numbers of the holes to = 50 by puting one end of the spring in 2 and the other in 3,set at 3 and 3 from factory or 60,kinda tricky if youve never done it,if gas mileage is your thing do it all, sled has plenty of torque to pull the extra weight
