Neighbour just picked up a used viper, and the reverse beeper and “R” on the speedo come on momentarily then go out while sled is in reverse. Has anyone ever have that sensor behind the actuator go bad?
No but it could just be full of shavings and crud. The shift fork has a magnet on it that sensor senses.

That’s what I’m thinking. Guy said he changed engine oil so I’m trying to avoid pulling the chain case apart, how ever it dont appear that he changed chain case oilNo but it could just be full of shavings and crud. The shift fork has a magnet on it that sensor senses.
Yup time to open Pandoras Box! Just save what oil you can. Many guys dont remove the hoses to tank. It can be done. Should be easy if lower sidepanel is removed. That’s what I’m thinking.
