What size drivers do you RTX Le guys have? Looking everywhere. Nothing.

How much top end do we expect out of a 130hp sled? How fast do you think a lighter well tuned 155hp 2 stroke goes? Some guys are just expecting too much out of these Vipers.

Well in TD's case my Phazer is going to give him a good run for the $ on top end. I would be ticked too. Still need to know driver size on RTX LE.

As I posted in a different thread.....weasel33 and TD need our help here to get their sleds running good. Need to find out what is so different. I know gearing is different, now know it has 9 tooth drivers. Why would Yamaha put in this gearing in an RTX LE?
Talked with TD and weasel33 on the phone this weekend. Both are experiencing the same issues...throttle seems to just jump from 2,700 to 3,800. Poor fuel mileage from weasel33. No top end speed over 80mph. I feel so bad for these guys and we are trying to help as much as we can here.
If this was my sled, I would have Yamaha put in the gearing that was in the 2014 RTX and figure out my throttle situation. This is not a mountain sled

Thanks guys. I was hoping they went to 8 tooth like the Cat XC. Either way 90-95 should still be possible and get there quick with that gearing.

Its a Sno X sled NosPro. No need for more than 80mph.

DO they list it as a snow X sled? I have the LE model lineup page right in front of me and doesn't say anything about snow X. Maybe in the magazines?

No they dont and I and others thought XC I am sure. They go way faster than that in XC and smaller drivers are a good idea since the extroverts hang below the belly they are vulnerable. If in fact they do have 9t I would keep the gearing and go to 8t. Need to calculate. Someone needs to actually count the teeth since I dont trust the specs.

I think its a combination of lower gearing and the 1.7" track. However, it should still pull 90+. TDmax's 900 ACE is going to top end his Viper if this isn't fixed.

I would say it has something to do with the 1.7 in. track too but my buddies xtx with a 1.6 in. track that's 141 long hits 94 to 96 mph all day long. So that leads me to believe it's not the track at all.

It looks to me like Cat is trying to have a edge and may be playing dirty to do it. I dont have access to a RTX LE but someone needs to count the driver teeth. That gearing would be awesome with 8t but its going to be tough with 9t.
Verified 9t drivers.
I talked to Ulmer and he said that he had a LE in for a turbo. It was all done at about 100 mph due to gearing and uncut clutches. Also said it was a complete animal and gave him a pretty good workout. Pulled really hard to 90 mph then continued albeit slower to 100 mph.
Allen will have an RTX in his fleet soon from what I understand. Good to know I have help both semi local and long distance.
