2005 NH TY ride

Do you guys know how great it will be to be with more than one Yahama sled up at TM. We are a rare breed. With get together will be awesome. I am really looking forward to meeting some new people and finding some new areas to ride it. Jim, in your counts, do you have me down for myself and a friend? That may make 7 definites.

How great is this going to be to have more than 2 Yamaha's riding together in the TM area. We may even make history with more than 2. I am coming along with a friend that is a definite. Just think, 10+ Yamaha's screaming down the trials in NH on a Saturday. People will think we are from the factory.

ROFL.. Largest yamaha group I have ever seen in twin area was like 3 Rx1/RxWarriors with a viper..

I might not beable to ride with you guys on the thursday. I usually ride with the guy I rent from up there. When I ride with him its more of the relaxing slow ride day. Say 80 to 120 miles tops.. I use to ride every thursday with him but now my job has changed so no more 4 day weekends.. But friday-saturday is a go!!! I also have my brother who will be joining us... He has a RxWarrior(lucky SOB)...

If anyone is looking for a place to stay in the area let me know. I am going to find out if any of the cottages are open at the place I stay at.

By the way, last season I happened upon someone from this forum at the gas pumps near Diamond Pond, but I don't remember who it was. I was with my crazy friends who ride Doos. If its anyone here, let me know! If I remember right, it was a guy who had quite the RX-riding family, and had several of them distributed throughout different family members.

You would know me if you saw me... Bucky on the TY forums ran into me a few times last year.. I have the big american flag on the windshield and I am not the smallest of people on the sled..

Davey,

The main ride is on Jan 8th, with the 7th and 9th as optional days depending on how much time you have. Snowbandit needs some definate numbers very soon, so PM him as soon as you know for sure. I'll add you to the list I'm keping track of. Oh, and the home base is Twin Mountain. That will be good for you...less trailering and more riding.

Jim

Keep me in mind. I will try get the day off from SWMBO, if I'm back from Chicago. I could even do the 6th if it all works out.

Boston: if you ever want to ride during the week, I sometimes can do a Thursday and Friday. I'm also available December 27 - 29, although I may go ride in Quebec if the NH / ME snow isn't too good.

I'm easy whatever distances you guys want to ride. 200 miles, 300 miles, all OK on the Warrior. :4STroke:

My QC trail pass is in the mail, as I'm doing an 1800 mile tour of QC end of January / Feb 7, and figure I may as well make the most use of my dollars...

One of my favorite rides is to Rangeley area and back, had a really great day trip with nhrxrider last year from his place in Milan through to Errol, Coleman state forest to Rangeley and return.

This year I might try the round trip from Diamond Pond to QC via Chartierville, then east through QC and back into ME towards Eustis and return via Rangeley.

Keep me in mind for any rides from the Coleman State Park area...we moved to my shop in Colebrook, which is about a 15-20 minute ride from Diamond Pond.

And for a weather update, we got a few flurries today, but nothing to speak of. For those curious about Twin Mountain, on our way to Concord today I think I saw a guy mowing his lawn in Twin. :drink: Seriously though, there was only a minimal amount of snow coving the grass...even the green of people's laws was sticking above the snow.

T, your on for a ride during the week. Where are you located in the lakes region. I am on Paugus Bay. My number is 527.0256. Give me a call anytime, I would love to ride with you. I have so many new mods, I really need a day to get out in tune and just play to get used to the sled again. I am hoping this can be done before the end of the year. Stay in touch. You gave some initials regarding work, what do they stand for?

Boston / Jim: my cell is 520.0324. Home phone we tend to ignore due to telemarketers...

I'm down in Kona Farms (on Moultonboro Neck), just back of the Braun Bay trail head.

I've been talking to a guy about doing a ride between Dec 27 and 29 up in northern NH or maybe Maine / Quebec if the NH trails aren't good.

I'm guessing that the higher elevations around Diamond Pond and Pittsburg will be fine, but they will probably get really beat up over the holidays if the snow further south doesn't improve.

Can probably share a trailer on the way north, if you want.

hey dana and jim twin ride sounds great i can park some trailers at my house if needed keep in touch any other sleds allowed i have a lot of friends that would hook up for ride but dont have yamahas as dana know some of them. scott. i live on iron horse trail in twin mtn.

The original TY ride

Back in '87 my buddy and I cranked up to the top off evregreen valley ski area (which was abandoned) to find 7 more Exciters dressed in black. What a great day. We out numbered them all. This ski area was just south of Evans notch and north of
fryeburg ME

I am reading that the Pittsburgh area has trails open. I anyone interested in joining me this Saturday?
