Manitoba will probably want to hire me after seeing how much better I do at grooming the trails than Brian LOL.
I had a great time thanks Brian it was a big eye opener. These guys volunteer there time here unlike where I'm from where the guy running the groomer gets paid these guys work for nothing. I left the hotel at 5:30 am and we got back at 7:30 pm was a long day and they do it every week! There is a lot more to grooming than many people realize to all you groomer operators out there thankyou, thankyou, thankyou

It was quite cold yesterday morning. The temperature was -36 but there was only a slight breeze. Sasquatch was having a hard time getting his non Yamaha sled started. I went out to give him a hand with my camera.
It was a small group that went out yesterday on a ride, well, more like a journey. We didn't managed to leave Lac du Bonnet until 10:00, which was an hour later than planned. The ride was down to Richer, then down to South Junction, over to Moose Lake, up to Falcon Lake, and back to Lac du Bonnet. We figured it would be close to a 300 mile ride. We rode down to the Half Way hut where we picked up some fresh groomer tracks. This picture was taken just after Seven Sisters.
We stopped in Richer for lunch at the Esso station where it was a one-man show. He came out to turn on the petrol pumps wearing his apron. We filled up and went inside for lunch where the guy in the apron cooked our meal. I think we tasted some fuel on our burgers. Back on the trail we found fresh groomer tracks and had an absolute blast on the trails. In the first 165 miles, we were the first tracks on the snow for about 140 miles!
We made a pit stop at the Voyagers's Shack where hlmrx1 had to get ride of some coffee. Beware of turning your back when someone in the group has a camera eh Don?
We stopped just short of Falcon Lake as the moon was rising in the sky and snapped this picture. There was a lunar eclipse last night and this was just before it started.
Riding back from Falcon, we watched the eclipse take place over the 2-hour ride. We reach the hotel at 21:30 last night and had a great day. It turned out to be a 306 mile journey. Everyone came down to the bar and we socialised until mid-night. Convert complained that he had a rough day working for a change.
Looking forward to another great day.

Great time guys thanks for waiting for me and being patient with my puddy tat. I would have hated to miss what was even with a few rough sections a fantastic ride.

Yep, thanks, I was trying to offer my shop for the R&R on the oil filter but it seemed everybody was talking at once.........I did say I was running home quick to see if I had an O-ring. Oh well, story of my life.......no one is listening.....
