Hey guys got any pic's from your outing 2 day ?

Sorry Turtle, I mean Bounty, for not posting pictures from Thursday's ride, but I had to travel back home.

We had a nice ride on Thursday. There were 10 of us and the plan was to ride in the Whiteshell Park. It wasn't as cold as yesterday and the mood was good for the ride. The members that I can remember included, SRXTwins, Bver Fever, Smokey, Sasquatch, Convert, Yamamama, and Turk.

We made it exactly 6.2 miles before we had to pull over for Convert because his glasses were all fogged up.

Back on the trail, we made it another 7 miles before Sasquatch blew a corner and went straight into the bush. I was following him and didn't react in time, so I too went into the bush. I was laughing at him when I turned around and saw Bver Fever coming hard into the bush too, stopping just short of us. Then Smokey came flying in, missing us both, and somehow squeezing in between us all. No damage other than our pride that had just followed Sasquatch into the bush like a bunch of lemmings.

We entered the park at Seven Sisters and found the trail freshly groomed. We stopped in Nudimik for a group shot.

On our way to Rennie to get petrol for Turk and his Nytro, we caught the groomer and faced bumpy trails for the next 20 km. We had a nice lunch at the Rennie Hotel and learnt from the bartender that the groomers in Rennie and West Hawk were broke down. We changed our plans and rode out of the park heading for Elma where we knew the trails were nice and flat. From Elma, we had flat trails all the way home. We even ran into Blueballer at the Halfway Hut.

It was a great ride and I was sorry that I had to leave the group on Thursday to come home.

A couple of pictures that I haven't had a chance to post. A home-made Canadian shack. Despite the appearance, it was quite nice inside and the stove kept us warm.

Took this picture on Wednesday during the 300 mile loop. Very nice shack. Notice the solar panel on the roof. They had lights inside with a timer switch to ensure they always had power. Now all they need are some Yamaha signs out front instead of Polaris

During the ride back from Bird Lake, Domino managed to blow a corner and took out some trees. The front bumper on his Attak cushioned the blow. Better to only bust the bumper than the front end too!

Well as I sit here at my laptop in a drunken bliss only possible at a Manitoba TY ride. I am sad and happy at the same time. Anouther great ride is in the books and it is time to say goodbye one more time.

I discovered this year that they have built a warmup shelter just for me. I was puzzled by this until I found that indeed I have relatives in the Manitoba outback.

Check out the bigfoot shelter and my long lost Mom! It was so nice to see her again.

that's 2 years in a row we've met up with you guys at a warm up shack. what are the chances!! Matt - it was nice to see you & the guys again. hopefully next year, we won't have a Doo guy with us and we can join in on the TY ride. funny thing he said was "man, you guys are like a cult, yamaha this & yamaha that". I said yeah, you wanna join?
glad you guys had a good ride, even with the frigid temps.

Another Manitoba ty ride is over. Once again it was one of the highlights of the year to get together with such a great bunch of people. We are actually starting to see more women riders coming out which is just great.I think maybe the group of riders is getting a little larger too.

is that mooswa lake? wow a lot of sleds, too bad mines broke down right now and i missed all the fun. oh well, thats the fun owning an older 700sx 2 stroke with a big bore kit and pipes right? living on the edge all the time, get some bad gas and boom!!!

Yes that was at mooswa lake....and it was turk and don that gave out a few spankings on behalf of yamaha. The racing stopped real quick after everybody seen them run. There must have been over 150 sleds there at one point.
