I don't know... I hope your right... but I'm setting myself up to be disappointed. If you thought people were upset about the Nytro XTX 1.75" give 'em some blue belt eaters and watch what happens.

Personally what I would love to see is a FX Gen. II chassis. Lengthen the wheelbase a bit, lower the engine a tad, put Yamaha's new race front end on it and find a way to shave off 40-50 lbs. without sacrificing strength. Last wrap it all up in some sexy looking new plastic and call it a Viper.

That is what I would like to see at least as a Nytro replacement, but the AC rumors just won't go away completely.

Industry first....that sounds pretty hardcore to me. The leaning sled design as shown pages ago could very well be it.

I can't think of anything else that would be a first.

If the big news going to be something to do with CAT. why would Yamaha make a ad like this, the ad is blue and it has a snake in it..... Not green with a cat fur in it...

Well it will be painted blue and marketed as a Yamaha not an Arctic Cat. When they asked Chris Reid that question maybe he just meant that Yamaha will still be using blue as it's color and not green or yellow.

Personally I think a blue ProCross will end up being a flop Yamaha engine or not. Products that are not built by the company with the name on the hood have never done well in the market. There is just something about buying a product that isn't true to it's name that makes the whole experience "cheap and cheesy" unless you are talking about a lawn mower that says Craftsman on the hood that was built by Husqvarna. In cases like that people don't seem to care, but I think they will when it comes to something like their sled.

There may be a yamaha engine in a cat (yamaha powers lots of stuff...from Fords to Mercury outboards) but one thing Yamaha never does is farm out their chassis...ever. They will rip off the technology and build it themselves before they have cat build them anything...they have factories that are geared up to build sleds and there's not enough margin to buy your chassis from someone else then try and make a profit. Yamaha can literally copy the cat chassis build themselves and pay a royalty for less then buying it from Cat..

Personally, I don't think industry first has anything to do with Yamaha/Arctic Cat partnership. Engines have been supplied to other manufacturers in the past...ie Rotax engines and Lynx snowmobiles.

Polaris ruled the market in the 80's and 90's with Fugi powered sleds.

I loved those Fuji engines...they were truly bullet proof! At least my Indy 500 was.

Know what I think would be cool? Computer controlled clutches. Either hydraulic or electronic.
