Three of us have 18 winders with 2300+ miles on the original slides with no wear at all, there like new money. We thought about replacing them with dupont slides from the get go last year and decided to atleast wear out the oem slides. Glad we waited, no need to buy expensive slides with getting such great slide life.

I don’t like to hear #1. Are the aggressive boosted riders having trouble blowing belts?I think the SRX has the 4th wheel kit and the new clutch parts (Springs and helix are different) dont know how well they work yet.
1. Belly pan protector for blowing belts
2. New slides the Dupont ones are good, stock wears out in 500 miles
3. New windshield the stock one looks good but is useless
4. Either the Snow trackers or a different set of skis. The stock ones are dangerous
5. Ice Scratchers because these things seem to overheat if you stop for more than a minute and minimal snow conditions

Ride it ! there's no problems until you have a problem....
Improvements on the other hand a belly pan protector so if you do blow a belt which I dought, at least you won't damage that sexy blue lower panel. Skis are a must seeing how you say your aggressive trail rider. Spare belt, antizieze the muffler bolts, change oils after 500 mls and enjoy.
Those Srx's are rockets... Your going to Love it.

SRX doed not come with forthf wheel kit... Clutching may be good for a stocker but need to be changed for boosted

Damn now I wonder about the dealer since we all went in for 500 mile check ups and dealer said the slides had worn down. Maybe we just got soft ones in 2017. As far as belts some have issues some dont, but if you do blow a belt and someday chances are you will, like someone else mentioned it wont blow a hole in the belly pan. 50 bucks from Barn of Parts is cheap insurance.
For sure... Here's my four wheel setup

1400 miles for me also and the slides look new. Have a replacement set but not worth changing. Sidewinder XTX 141My sliders look brand new still, 1450 miles season one. Never seen a sled with such great slide life.

Owning many DOOS, they need Duponts season two for sure...they wear in fast then typically slow down near end but will wear thru eventually, so duponts well worth it on DOO Rmo....
This cat skid for me has not worn slides at all, 1450 miles not the greatest conditions by any means. I run my track singin tight always, and always have on all sleds since about 2000. I had skid out for other work, and looked to change them but never bothered as they looked like NEW.

1450 mile sliders....even had worn out(chunked off) inner idlers too.

The slides on my Winder show no wear at all in almost 3,000 miles. My Ski Doo's wear down fast to a point and then don't wear any further for thousands of miles. I consider hyfax wear on either sleds a non issue and very seldom even look at them because they are always good. Never wasted any money on Duponts or any other fancy hyfax.

Interesting topic. My old vector had the twin shock suspension, and a pretty steep angle of attack in the front and I needed that little wheel kit. The slides wore wavy. The apex with the same track, but a monoshock and gradual angle of attack, wore them very little. Thousands of miles on a set and still no aluminum showing. The sidewinder slides are like new, just under a thousand miles. But if no snow soon, they will remain like new....for the wrong reason.

Same story here. Had over 5400km's (3300+ miles) on SW and sliders were still good. My three Apex's would never hit 1000kms w/o needing to be replaced. Duponts on last Apex went over 5000km's and were in good shape. Duponts are fantastic but so far, have not been needed on these Cat chassis' (wife's two Vipers - same minimal standard slider wear). Factory sliders on SRX are brand new but, as Sumpbuster said, for the wrong reason!
