Holy crap is that horrid looking!!!
Exactly. My Nytro and I went on a diet this summer /fall. Lost 40 lbs. easiest upgrade and cheapest I could find. Heck I can even top my Nytros 7 gallon gas tank now. Lol.A lot of guys spend time discussing 3 pounds here, 4 pounds there when comparing the weight of their sleds. They also spend a lot of money buying after market parts to reduce weight. But then you see them at the bar drinking a pitcher of beer and eating a whole pizza! If you really want to reduce weight take Xlax or get on a treadmill! LOL

Yes it has but in the last 100 years it as sped up extremely fast. Why is that? Whats causing that?
Except for the part in the 60's and 70's when those same scientist said we where heading back into an ice age. In 1974 I got up to go to work and it was -48F. Car had dual block heaters and parked in a garage, it barley turned over but started. Drove 30 miles to work and piled lumber on the green chain all day. Temp on thermometer was -56F. It warmed to -34F by afternoon and was nice out it seemed. Coldest spot in Canada was Roblin at -60F! Many other days around -40 to -45F that week and three to four weeks straight of -30 to 40F was normal in the winters of the 60's and 70's and 80's. Don't believe Gores hockey stick its bogus filled with bogus data. That is the trouble with him he tried to fool the people instead of using the truth, he instead created his own truth. It wasn't till the late 80's and early 90's that we had some really mild short winters. Early 2000's had some bitter cold winters and a few mild ones. 2010's have brought a little of both. Couple years ago was a really cold long winter. This winter is not overly cold only -30C so far but it started early and most people have burned through half of their winters wood before christmas. My Mom has burned 10 cords by Christmas so 18 cords will be easy to reach. 12 cords is normal winter. So ya I will agree that winters have gotten milder overall but I don't see the really sped up part. My grandmother remembers winters with hardly any snow or cold back in the 30's and 40's, she also remembers nasty ones with snow up to the eaves and tunnels to the outhouse and wood shed. Its been both colder and warmer then now. Not all climatologists agree with man made global warming.

I for one am glad. Hate them, love them or indifferent , it would be sad to see the Arctic Cat name leave the sport.
I"ll bet most on here have ridden or owned at Cat at sometime in their lives.
Worse would be to see the Yamaha name leave the sport, how much closer can you get when you stop design and manufacture and your competitor puts your name on their sleds for you to buy. To me that is very scary. Putting you name on a Cat Chassis does not make it a Yamaha, Buying that chassis would and that to me would be great because now you would have control over it and could dump that crap chain case/oil tank and replace it with something much better. I loved my Cats but with motors hard pressed to live past 10,000 miles and drive chains that in one season of 3,000 where worn out. Cat chain would if held sideways almost bend 90 degrees where Apex Yamaha chain would bend maybe 5 to 10 degrees same amount of miles. Cat chain always needed to tighten it a bit as it was always wearing. Yamaha once initial stretch was there never seemed to stretch anymore and last more then one season. I went to Yamaha because it seemed to be something that would last and it did. Ya the RX had some going pains but in comparison the Apex addressed all those. When I look at the Cat chassis what I see in an RX that may be a good sled but needs all the weak parts fixed. Yamaha if they bought it maybe they could refine all that till its like the 11 up Apex and quite durable.

The blue on that sled seems to be a protective wrap for shipping. Like when new cars are delivered with a sheet of plastic on the paint.

Certainly looks like the same Procross chassis.

I agree on windy and bumper, spindle and rails anodized blue? Maybe a prototype because that is one ugly color combo! The blue on that sled seems to be a protective wrap for shipping. Like when new cars are delivered with a sheet of plastic on the paint.

Pretty much the only new things I see on that sled is colors and updated spindles. Boring!

If this really is a 2020 model, the only thing it tells me is that someone at the plant is getting fired for letting it leak. Otherwise ... yawn...

The high visibility yellow and Yamaha blue are a stunning combination on the 2019 Sidewinder LTX-LE; the poor quality of the picture may not do the combination justice on this sled. I wondered if this was the new low cc entry level sled from AC that has been rumored, but then I saw what looks like high end shocks on front?
