Ya with no leaks, or trail sightings release probably not significant in 2020. If something like composite chassis someone would have seen it being tested somewhere. Picture of Riot model looked like procross BNG cross over to me similar market as Poo Assault.
Hard to say. The first leaked photo of the Yamacat probably did not go over well at corporate yamaha. So they are all tight lids now. Just my guess. After the 2020 is released someone should go back into this thread and see who was right LOL

Speculation is fun no right or wrong and fluid like watching a kid catch butterflies with a net. In hot pursuit but just behind the prey swinging net left and right but no butterfly in the net. Rumour is that current sleds will be obsolete when 2020 sleds hit .... that is why limited production in 2019 to clear inventory
Hmm obsolete is a nasty word as it imply s they will no longer be looked after.

I imagine it more as it is now a Cat dragging a tuning fork along behind it. Keeping the fork from getting lost and guiding down the path.Imagine the cat logo with a tuning fork speared into the side of the cat as it’s jumping through the air?!
Works for me

So for all the doom and gloom naysayers ranting Yamaha is done in the sled business, what do they think March brings, " We are out of the sled business good bye and good luck" I don't think so.......
I don't think Yamaha is out of the sled business, building motors will keep them in it for some time yet. The real question is are they out of the Manufacturing business? All they have left is the VK540 and its from the 80's. I think the Yamaha customer along with the competition have been saying Yamaha was done long time ago, hence the move over to Cat. What the future brings for Yamaha is unclear, I think that Yamaha will continue to buy Cats and put Yamaha badges on them. I think Yamaha will buy Cat two strokes and put badges on them. Why stop doing that? It works, it sells. I think when Cat comes out with a new sled, this forum will say that Yamaha designed it. Why? Cause it works, it sells, it lets Yamaha off the hook. Why build a sled if they can make money selling Cats. Now I dare Yamaha to prove me wrong!

So if Yamaha buys out cat and the rights to there designs, manufacturing and dealers would they still be cats to you??? What if a new design comes out after the buyout and it’s manufactured in Yamahas (cats old plant)plant in Thief River Falls is it still a cat to you??? Will a true blue Yamaha have to be manufactured in japan...I don't think Yamaha is out of the sled business, building motors will keep them in it for some time yet. It 100% depends on their level of engineering and quality control. Cause the US built Yamaha sleds so far are not there yet

It’s like what the polititions say about porn, I’ll know it when I see it. Show me the sled and I will tell you if it’s a AC with Yamaha badging or if it was a sled designed and built by Yamaha. Sit on the sleds and compare the gauges, materials, fit and finish If you think that current Yamaha sleds are on par with even a 2006 Apex, then IMO you have just accepted A much lower level of quality. The new sleds work and everything seems to function, like the gauges and controls, etc, but it’s not even close to what a true Yamaha sleds represents in terms of look and feel.

The Supertrax/Snowtrax guys are respected in the industry with their own biases as they all have. The cool part about these guys is their bias is balanced amongst the three Lesters. We all know they have had access to what is coming, and have been privy to conversations that they are sworn to non-disclosure agreements. Or they would never be invited to the party the following year.
That being said, the OEM's expect the media to push the limits of that NDA as that creates the buzz they need prior to Spring orders. In this case, they can start rumors, but not specifically say what is coming.
Did you happen to see the latest episode of Snowtrax this weekend? You know there is a lot of hidden messages in a bio of a Yamaha collector that is asked to bring his 3 favorite vintage Yamaha's and his latest purchase. (that wasn't scripted)
He brings his 2019 SRX, an Enticer, a SnoScoot, and an SRV. Since they have already rumored about a two stroke, you bet what I am going to take from this piece. They were probably asked to come up and Yamaha was going to shoot another vintage - VS - new release marketing piece. Let's just hope Larry Enticer is not part of it.
You could see the new Yamaha SRV in 2020 with the NA 998 in a Sidewinder chassis. And we could see a New Enticer, which would be a two stroke ProCross chassis. This could be a CTEC2 600 or dare I say a Yamaha 700 Triple? I can only imagine, they would save the triple/triple for another old name badge brought back from the dead.
It's all speculation, but that's the hat I throw into the ring.

^^ We had that exact Enticer as kids, and my dad had that Exact SRV! Brings back good memories.

I like Larry, and he has brought attention to the sport. I do doubt it's the kind of attention an OEM would like to bring to a model release. He's a wildcard. It's like saying I want to use trump to endorse the new Big Mac, not knowing what he may say about it on Twitter the minute he leaves the promo set.
