So although a lot are claiming Yamaha needs 2-strokes, can we ALL agree that Polaris NEEDS a 4-stroke?

I should have clarified....I have a monoshock in my apex....my old vector had the twin shock, similar to a standard rear suspension. The mono is still falling rate, and after a point, it's going in...lol. My ski doo sc''s were all rising rate.I was running a titanium 5.6 kg off of 06 yzf 450 , & revalued shim stack in rear shock , g outs are no different than sidewinder or skidoo rear end . Just rebuilding shock makes a huge difference.

They can't mass produce a high performance 4 stroke, they can make utility 4 strokes. no different than skidoo not going head to head with the sidewinder they know they can't compete. So although a lot are claiming Yamaha needs 2-strokes, can we ALL agree that Polaris NEEDS a 4-stroke?

LOL...Hell Man's is Real Mayonnaise!Well said Mr T.
The problem with double stuff Oreo's is they make you want to pull them apart & eat the middle. Men dunk the whole thing in milk.
It's in the ManBook. Read it. Chapter 6 Page 9. It's after the Mayonnaise section.

I never really looked into this. Is there any truth to this?

Unlike everybody else on this thread I have nothing insightful to say, I'm just enjoying the entertaining reading and hoping you guys make it to 100 pages before the trails open. Because then I'm out!

You have to ask yourself why not? The extra weight of cyclider 4 vs the additional weight and complexity of a turbo in a 3 holer? I would be perfectly happy with the Apex engine in a new lighter platform. The only concern with that combo would be how the new chassis would handle and I would totally embrace the Apex NA engine over any turbo configuration.
I agree

Does that make it a Yama Bear or a Yama Cat?
Have a great Yama Turkey day!

They have a few engines now that would go head to head with the ACE 900 N/A and 900T, they just choose to stay 2 stroke. Before the Viper came along I would have been really tempted by a Prostar 1000 in an Assault chassis, but they choose to stick to there 2 stroke guns.
