carbon fiber!!!!its coming!!!!!!!

Now if someone could find the super secret testing area, which all manufactures have someplace to do their testing, and get some spy photos. Unless they camo them up like auto manufacturers do with their test mules.
ANDthe 2020 Yamaha's are out west being photo shot right know, I know someone who was invited to drive for the shoot.
And high COG.If Yamaha does go with some kind of carbon fiber composite chassis it should shave about 25#'s, add a light weight battery from the factory and you have a 4 stroke sled thats 40-50#'s lighter which is very doable, but the majority of the weight will still be upfront in the motor.
Depends on how much influence Cat has had they like to minimize or have parts serve dual purposes. If Yamaha really wants to minimize weight they could surprise us. True the weight of a 4s engine is what it is but 50 to 75 lbs would greatly interest me. Hopefully EPS stays too.If Yamaha does go with some kind of carbon fiber composite chassis it should shave about 25#'s, add a light weight battery from the factory and you have a 4 stroke sled thats 40-50#'s lighter which is very doable, but the majority of the weight will still be upfront in the motor.
My thoughts also. There has to be people out there looking at moving away from Yamaha as they have not seen anything new, or what they want, in a long time. Except Sidewinder which is not for everyone. A limited release, or even some leaked info, might cause them to wait until 2020.Now that all the inventory of sleds are in the pipeline, Wouldn't it be beneficial to Yamaha to sneak peak any "New Items" before March?
Having worked with the Ford GT program and the all carbon fiber chassis the last couple years, it is very lightweight, however it is very expensive. If Yamaha does go with some kind of carbon fiber composite chassis it should shave about 25#'s, add a light weight battery from the factory and you have a 4 stroke sled thats 40-50#'s lighter which is very doable, but the majority of the weight will still be upfront in the motor.
I too switched after 6 years with Yamaha. I never owned a Cat until now and the little bit I rode it last spring I was very happy with it. I know its pretty much the same as a new Yamaha but I wanted to try going back to a 2 stroke for my riding type. If Yamaha comes out with something really new and it gets good reviews then I might be back on a yammy.Stop dreaming and hoping for a game breaker sled...else you will surely be disappointed.
Don't be afraid to try other brands and ride other great sleds. If Yamaha comes out with something, then switch back. I switched after 12 years of Yamaloyalty, never been happier with a sled.
Totally agree with this statement. We can all wear blue goggles if we want, but at least do it with an open mind.Stop dreaming and hoping for a game breaker sled...else you will surely be disappointed.
