Once things calm down with this virus I’m going to order the seal from Travis at BOP.thank you. I know the stock factory seal on the tanks is just a matter of time before they leak.

How I found out about the oil going into the air box was I had the sled running with the side panel off and heard something rattling in the air box, when I opened the air box there was a good amount of frozen oily sludge rattling around. Since than I removed the hose from air box.
what’s your thought of dropping the oil level to the low line?

It seems like it working for hellflyer, I guess it’s worth a try..
I will be adding the Pefi 250 tune with air box which doesn’t have the option to run the roll over valve hose into the air filter so I will be leave the hose in the belly pan.
Do you hear your roll over valve making that whopping noise? Mine is very loud at times.

I’ve been trying to keep track on when I hear this whopping sound, I do hear it more and louder as temps get colder, and more at first start ups in the morning. Had a few days where temps were around the freezing mark or a few degrees above and never heard the valve.
This is just my theory but the noise I’m hearing is the oil tank releasing the pressure through the valve as the valve is frozen upon start up. I’m not sure how long it takes for the roll over valve to unfreeze once sled has started but Travis at BOP did some testing and if I remember right it only takes seconds to build pressure in the oil tank.

It would be nice if there was a drain tube on the air box itself
oil level a hair above bottom line when warm!so oil level on the line?

ok thanks. I agree a drain on the air box like on ATVs would be nice with a small hose out the bottom.

Exactly what I was thinking! I might have to bring my sled down again and play around with it if my job sites shut down.ok thanks. I agree a drain on the air box like on ATVs would be nice with a small hose out the bottom.

I ran 2 drains out of my daughters Viper air box last year. Drilled a hole in bottom of sled and it exits there
