2020 YZRR

They got moved to the Lounge because these "Speculation " threads really do not follow the "Post general Yamaha 4 Stroke questions not specific to any model.." and the Lounge forum needs more traffic. :p
If Yamaha makes a 2 stroke , these 4 stroke threads are doomed :)

Is this CNN?
Soooo Yamaha goes testing with a Polaris in Ditch Pickle colors??????????? I don't get it.
Problem is there is a bunch more brain washed people buying those DitchPickle sleds ... if Yamaha doesnt make one , the little Japanese guy missed the boat again... :)

True, I stopped at a nearby Arctic Cat dealer to look at clothing recently. The guy asked what sled I owned. Told him I just bought half of an Arctic Cat. He looked at me funny, I said a Sidewinder, same as your Thundercat....Oh those are really heavy, we don’t even sell those. Lots of groans behind their counter.

Also, the wrap has the name "YZM Pro" on it, not YZRR. Yamaha has used YZM before in their dirt bike line so I doubt they would use it here.

Some guy spent some money and put a sticker kit on his Alpha 8000 you tell it’s not a Yamaha designed sled KYB stickers on fox shox Cat tunnel suspension and hood. If it was the new one we are hoping for it would a mono shock type rear suspension the front suspension would more than likely have the same shocks the 2018 Apex had the brakes would be the same as the ones used with the mechanical parking brake and this is part is either just wishful thinking or a possibility nobody thought of is I could see them building a 2 stroke like their 4 stroke engine with the intake on the front and the exhaust going straight back and exit like the Apex and Vectors had. And if they do have a new 2 stroke it would use the V-Max name for the engine like they did before and still use on their Outboards

Yamaha needs a 2 stroker especially for the moutain market. Cant see them using a cat engine . The new 800 with direct injection was so called developed with yamahas knowledge. If they want a bigger market share, they need a 2 stroker.

This is an epic trolling of Yamaha Motor Corp...

If this guy would have held off a bit on the obviously not real stuff (KYB stickers on Fox shock, 2S Genesis engine name, etc) this would have had much longer legs...

Customers have for a long time been better at building what Yamaha shoulda...coulda ..would have..

I didn't think any Yamaha winder ran the Alpha mono rail.

Acutally, this could be a good marketing idea for yamaha. If there is a new "shared" chassis for 2020 they could take the Cat 2 stroke version, strategically add weight and yamaha colors/decals, and let test riders have at it and letting them think its a new 2 stroke Yamaha. I'd put money on everyone "thinking" the 2 stroke performed better in mountains even if it happened to weigh the same as the 4 stroke equivalent.......... And then pull the sheets off the new 4 stroker that happens to carry the weight identically to the mocked up 2 stroke. Hell, bring back Johnny!

Exactly what I want. A sled severely lacking in low to midrange power and a hundred less peak hp compared to my tuned turbo.
