When i did mine i pulled the skid .This seems to be the easiest/best way to do it .

Same here. Very easy skid to pull and put back in, plus with that 8.5” stealth kit, the skid is almost all the way forward.

I can imagine doing that change on the sled, things are going to be tight, plus good time to check your skid and adjust your rear shock rebound!
