I now have 5000 miles on my Viper. Hurricane turbo at 300 miles. I have Custom Axis shocks all around, 1.35 cobra track different gears, curve skis and more. Has been great. Originally was 180. With my own stupidity I pumped too much boost with the 180 and blew my head gasket. After some education from Dave at 2000 miles I increased to the 240 kit. Since then the sled has been flawless. I do all bearing maintenance every year, updated my chain case to the 2016 specs. This year I rode with plenty of 850 ski doos and they were all embarrassed with how this thing kills them. At 105 for there top end I just blow by them. Not walk by but skis off the snow and run away. I would reach 118 mph but would not hold it long enough to see my max top end. I haven't come across a sidewinder in Manitoba all winter. Would have loved to line up and see the difference. Put 1700 miles this winter and not a one. And no Polaris 850. As far as belt issues I have not had many. I run the Carbon fiber belt which I break in for 45 miles. No issues. I put one of my old brand new 8JP from 2015 on for the second last ride which I broke in for 45 miles. That belt ripped in two after 250 miles. But that was the older 8JP which I think have changed from the original. I have been thinking about going to Sidewinder but will wait a year or so. Love this Sled.

Yup sounds like my story. 14 xtx with mpi supposed 180 kit which it was not pushed and blew up. Rebuilt and went big. Axys shocks and 240 pump 265 race gas and then moved all of that at 3000 miles to the 15 xtx which now has 2000 miles on it and also popped the head gasket and fixed with arp studs. The 14 is now meniacle at 400 hp 144" 1-1/4" hacksaw with 280 ish studs. I love both vipers and will not think after moving to the winders. For what it is worth I drag both sleds and never once has a winder come close to the 15 and I have run against some built and flashed machines.

Almost 11000 km on my -14 Viper MCX 270. -16 jackshaft and new bearings.
;)!
