Went to Seney/Grand Marais area last week, had 140 miles on before I went, and put on another 540 in 3 days. I'm glad I didn't wait (for now) for the '07's, this thing is spectacular! No comparison at all to my '03 RX-1, that I luckily sold 3 weeks ago. Love everything about it except I might go for a taller windshield, and my warmers also need to be better. Mileage ranged from 13 to 16 mpg. Ran one stretch 40 miles of solid bumps, and I didn't care. Awesome suspension. Does everything better than the RX-1. Friend of mine brought his '06 Renegade 1000, and put on more miles hauling it back to the dealer the first two days than he did riding it, the computer was going into "limp home mode". Changed the plugs (not surprised) and it got better. He's studded, I'm not, so we did a 40mph rolling start, he jumped me a half a length. Just when I thought he was going to kill me I got even with him and started to walk him. 132 mph on the dream meter @ 10,900rpm for about a mile then I let off. Don't know how much ahead I was, but I was ahead. He said he let off before I passed him. Yeah, right. He was getting around 13 mpg, worse than what he was told he should get. Another Renegade like his was up there also and his check engine light kept coming on. GO DOO!!! I let a few of the REV guys ride mine and they really liked it. Cat F6 had a fuel line fall off the fuel pump, had to fix that. Polaris blew a track @ 100mph, had to get towed. And the only Yamaha in my group of 25 sleds was the only manufacturer that had ZERO problems!!! It's going to be a great winter.

Had very similar experience with a renegace and my GT, although this one had a 15" ripsaw, the updated clutching, and mach Z gearing in it. Basically i would call it a tie, if someone got to the throttle a tick quicker, they would jump out a length, but not pull at all. I figued not bad seeing as how we are giving up 20 hp to 'em.

Great report Blueblood! My Attak is starting to limber up 502 miles, change oil and filter today, not really as bad to do as it looks...... had hard parts leanded up against every wall in the shop. I found two of the carb boots nearly off with the clamps loose as if they were never tigthen at set-up. Ran with a very, very, strong F-7 today. Both sleds side by side nearly every run, that was refreshing to me. Had an 05' Mach Z that was struggleing to stay with us today. He may have had a poor clutch set-up in it .........but mine is still box stock and getting better every ride. Rode up to Happy-Ours sunday, x-country was awesome, and the perch sandwich is always to die for. Hope to hook up with you at some point this season. ;)!

Thought about doing some clutching to get even more out of it, but it's so quick stock that I don't know if I could justify it. I'd like to hear some results of stock vs. clutched before I decide. I'm soooo happy with my Attak. :4STroke:

Oh man,if you think stock is fast, wait till you clutch it,at least w/s/ts like allens kit has,it kicks butt period,i now need to stud bad.. :bling

132 is on the dream meter, didn't have my gps on me to get an actual speed. All speedometers are off. Check the attitude at the door, I'm not here to impress anybody.

Check my attitude at the door?...you need to pick up your reality on the way out the door...... :moon:

p.s.
Your imagination DOES impress me.

Hey genius he knows that the dreammeter is quite a bit over actual speed. Just was stating what he saw on it. I'm sure he was well aware that he wasn't going that fast.

Get with the program, its not a hard thing.

Thanks for the compliment........

For his next stunt.....our rider will be attempting to break the sound barrier.

Stay tuned !!

Wow, a whole 5 posts for you in the last year! Obviously you've been waiting for something intelligent to say, should have waited a little longer. Anyone want to guess how many more he'll get before he get's the boot? Maybe you should actually buy a new Apex and ride it before you start making childish comments about something you know nothing about.

You're not starting off very good in this forum. This isn't your usual 'kiddie bashing' forum, like most of them. :rocks:

You might want to think some more about what you are typing before posting.
