I m just trying to get everybody’s thoughts on this not sure if I want to purchase pros and cons.
Thanks Pan
Thanks Pan
I have used 911 clutch covers on all my Yamaha sleds from Vmax4s SRXs Apex’s and now my Sidewinder. They are a high quality item with a huge increase of bushing area over the standard cover and I have never had any issue with them.
Do you need to upgrade the Yamaha stock clutch cover? That I don’t know because I never use the stock one for long.

PROS:
1. Super Strong
2. Adjustable for belt wear or different belt thickness
3. More bearing surface area not allowing twist or slop
4. Piece of Mind
5. Billet Aluminum is just BEAUTIFUL
CONS:
1. $260
2. Heavier.........probably not an issue
3. Doesn't balance because of tightening bolt..........very close to center so probably not an issue
It is not proven that any Yamaha clutches have an issue with this, even the sidewinder, but "Piece of Mind" is an individual's decision

I'm going to explain a couple things in Steve's post....
The 911 cover is balanced within itself because everything is CNC machined. When balancing a Yamaha clutch with a stock cover and then install a 911 cover...the clutch still remains in balance, no matter which way the bolt on the adjuster is facing. Why? Cause the aluminum material that is removed for the bolt and aluminum removed from the sawcut is equal to the weight of the bolt in that same area. Thunder Products Clutching has a high dollar balancer for clutches.
The 911 cover is .5 (1/2 lb.) more then the stock cover. We went stronger, have a bronze bushing instead of a fiber one and added the dial adjust for 1/2 a lb.
The price of $260 is a small price to pay for all the features the 911 cover has.
