What to do when putting a adjustable fuel pressure regulator on apex. A nipel on the fuel rail? Anyone selling this?
Thanks
Thanks
Powderlites has a billet adapter for the Nytro pulse dampener. I know this is different than the Apex regulator but it may work or they may have one for the Apex.
Why though? I literally converted my Nyto fuel rail to accept a Apex regulator and get rid of my powderlites 2 to 1.

My pressure is at 42 psi on idle. And it should have 36,8?. The sled has realy high af. All the way. And adjusting the fuel pressure is almost the only thing i havent tried yet.

Several aftermarket fuel rail adapters for Nissan/Subaru/Mazda cars will fit the stock Apex fuel rail. I just recently put one on my sled. It is a Tomei adapter purchased from http://www.rallysportdirect.com/Tomei-1 ... or-Adapter
I bought this one because they are local to me. You need one with an 11mm diameter o-ringed plug, 10mm tall plug, and 32mm bolt spacing. They are cheap and readily available. A couple more would be a Turbosmart adapter TS-0402-1001, or SARD 69014.

No problem. Took me a while to find the dimensions of the car adapters. I just happened upon it looking at regulators on-line.
With my secondary fuel pump, the stock regulator was unable to keep the pressure below 42 psi at idle. When hooked to the stock fuel pump it would hold 40 psi fuel pump running, engine off, and ~37 psi engine idling.

Where did you get a 90degre to mount on the hose?.mutley531 said:Several aftermarket fuel rail adapters for Nissan/Subaru/Mazda cars will fit the stock Apex fuel rail. I just recently put one on my sled. It is a Tomei adapter purchased from http://www.rallysportdirect.com/Tomei-1 ... or-Adapter

Try another stock regulator. We use the stock regulators to make 600 hp all day as does Hurricane. Stock regulators don't leak as much as aftermarket ones. Don't waste your time and money would be my suggestion.

Have try another. Same pressure. I use the pump that came with the nytro mcx 270kit. Dont remember the brand.

I bought an 1/8" npt 90 at Napa, and an 1/8" npt to 5/16" hose barb at a hardware store. Both pieces are brass. Napa usually has them, or can get them pretty quickly.
I tried another stock fuel pressure regulator and it was the same, 45 psi pumps running, engine off and 42 with the engine idling. If you are using the stock computer with a piggyback controller you could try changing the CO values to change your idle AFR.
I'm running a standard (non-race) Impulse kit on my Apex. When I first installed it last year I talked to Paul about my high fuel pressure and he sent me another stock regulator to try. Both were the same. I know most people use the stock regulator with no problems.

Have adjust the co fine on idle. But the af is way to high from 2000rpm and up. Going to try with another -regulator. It should have 36-37 on idle? Im i right.
