Air intake temp showing 118 deg F. Outside temp was 32 F. Cooling temp 195F. Running fine, no codes but a little stumble while ideling almost stalled. Where could it get such a high temp and how could it affect operation . Thanks.

Seems like normal temperatures if the trail conditions aren’t good for cooling (aka slide melting conditions). Mine runs 195*f with the fan kicking in if I’m running slower speeds around towns and stuff and the Intake temps do climb into the lower 100’s under those conditions. Sled definately looses its “punch” when it’s that warm. Unfortunely the radiator/fan blows warm air down to the airbox intake which I think on purpose. If the air temps dropped below 32*f it would be fairly easy to freeze over the Frogskin.

Thanks. Went out this morning 30f running at 40mph and cooling temp 195f no fan on and intake temp still 76f. How much power are we losing because of using warm combustion air. A turbo uses an inter cooler for this to make more HP. Anyone have a remedy for this so we can have intake temp the same as outside temp.Seems like normal temperatures if the trail conditions aren’t good for cooling (aka slide melting conditions). Run your air filter outside of the hood rather than under the hood.

You could install a snorkel for your intake air. Your intake temps will me much lower, with turbo you will notice an improvement in performance. I chose to install carbon fiber venting on a second set of side panels.Thanks. Went out this morning 30f running at 40mph and cooling temp 195f no fan on and intake temp still 76f.
