That's why beside the rad is a fair bit cooler. There is a gap between the hood and the rad on either side where air get pushed in around the rad. Anyway it's 20deg cooler on the trail but off trail I believe the under hood heat would still build with out the wind chill.

Couple questions for you. Here is my newest location!
1- What kind of improvements are you noticing with the intake there?
2- did you get the mounting flange from Dave or somewhere else?
My hurricane turbo came with a bolt on piece that 90s down.
Like your set up , looks simple enough to do just would like to here the pro/cons from you before I go shopping for parts. Thanks.

It's just like a collar that bolts onto the turbo that allows a silicone elbow to be clampdown on! It's available from hurricane.I

Much colder intake air when trail riding then in the nose or beside the muffler. My flange camd with my turbo, it's the newest version and 2.5" instead of the 2" like you have. The lower elbow get squeezed a bit by the side panel but no issue.Couple questions for you.

curious how many degrees you dropped. just by moving location. i was going to try cutting vents in side panels to see if that will be enough. can always plumb it like yours after. just curious how much cooler it is in that location.

I can't speak to the temps in the nose, but I was running 90 degree intake temps one day while running with a buddy running same kit with intake out the hood only running 25 degree intake temps! Big difference in temps and performance!curious how many degrees you dropped. just by moving location. i was going to try cutting vents in side panels to see if that will be enough. can always plumb it like yours after. just curious how much cooler it is in that location.
