I have 03 RX-1, 136x1-1/4" track and I want to screw in about 300 C&A PRO carbide track lug studs that are 3/8" in height. But the tunnel protectors are not quite high enough (only by about 1/8") to accomodate this combination. What could I use to add about 1/4" of height to the protectors?

I don't think you can add any more to the tunnel protectors. I also have a 136x1.25 track, the clearence between the track and tunnel protector is almost nonexistant. Also use studs of 1.70 inchs long with no problems, just a slight nick in one of the heat sheilds. But the only thing I had to add was extentions on the tunnel protectors to keep from catching studs on the cast alumnimun structure when hitting large ones. Good kuck.

I have done this. BluByyou2000, had showed my go to Fleet Farm and buy 1/2" alum strips and add them to the bottom with pop rivets.
