Apex/Attack Exhaust

Whos angry, and whos having a pissing match? notice that i said IMO the excell is ugly, whos running down the product, i will be adding my hauck pipe to one sled at a time and then draging them to see what the outcome is on snow, everything else being equal. Maybe id be wrong in saying it but hauck, bender, whiteknuckle ect arent a bunch of hacks who cant build a pipe that retains or make more hp. Im sure the testing is done on their units as much as the excell unit. Im not sure what qualifies dynotech or excell as premier in their respective markets to make all others wrong. Is dynotech the same guy who had the magazine a few years back that ripped off the subscribers by not sending out the mags, or is it someone else? Also im not doing the pipe for hp alone, im mostly interested in making the sled louder and lighter , a couple hp will be nice as well thou. Sorry for a rant, I just dont see what qualifies the excell pipe more that others cause of a guy named Jim and a couple posters claiming how much they like the excell pipe. But hey were here to share and learn so it all helps me.

I'm all set on this topic. Your not listening so good luck with the GETuRDone LMAO

RX1 Cowboy have you heard the Hauck pipe? I loved the sound on my Bender are they close? How do they compare? I'm trying to debate whether I should just wait on the Bender or go with something else.

Jtssrx is an all or nothin guy. Don't let it bother you. Don't get me wrong Aaron is a good guy from all my 3rd party experiences with him and the excell looks like a great system. I'm tempted to go with it but I just don't care for the single pipe look. Even back when J&J was pushing it I was only lukewarm. Great sound but I'm not looking for the pure crotch rocket sound. Already have one of those =P.

a guy put whiteknuckles on his rx-1,holyshit!!! it sounded like an open mod sled, when he cracked it open everybody was rubbernecking to see what the hell it was

Red800 - White Knuckle Performance makes 2 systems. The QC1 which is trail friendly and will pass decible reading, and the GP1 system which is a full out race system. Maybe the guy had the GP1, cause it is ear bleeding.

I have both, and stand firmly behind their product, and will do so in the future. I can tell you this tho...I went faster in the 1/4 mile by putting their system on. And I love they way it sounds, and the customer appreciation WKP gives me. I can ask any question, and I get an answer. I have heard all types of systems, and looked at workmanship, and to have stainless steel, fully welded, easy install, great fit and finish,.....add to that the awesome customer service.......

As Rocket has said, keep the cool.

jts i will enjoy my pipe, just because i didnt buy your prefrence dont get pissy. Im not getting you all right. Like your an authority on pipes. I orginally told Yamanator that the hauck was ready to roll if he didnt want to wait on the bender unit, i gave no weight or hp numbers and you jump on me... I hope you choice allows you to EXCELL LMAO.

Yamanator, i loved my bender pipes and had been running the race version since feb 2003, when i asked my dealers advice on what to get he said hauck... id wait for bender if he said that was better, the same for the excell unit. This guy is a good tuner and racer (recently took 1st in the bracket class at the Am sled shoot out on his Apex), and feel he knows what works. hope this helps

Just play nice and knock off the slapping of each other. :o|

Just my .02, but I would never doubt the dyno #'s from dyno tech, as I have been there my self. He's not a knob twister or an illusionist :moon:

Also just my .02, but I prefer the dual outlets of the stock style system. The revised side covers that are included with the Excell system look OK, but not my preference. 8)

The bottom line is this, shop around, talk to the different companies and buy the system you feel most comfortable with! Remember, sometime down the road you may need customer service if something happens to fail or disappoint you on the system you chose. Choose your systems wisely. There is currently 2 systems that I have had customers inquire on, White Knuckle and Excell and I trust both those guys!

DOes anyone have any advice or #`s with the Montain PI loud pipe i have this exhaust and sent it out to be coated By rights the coating should help with flow and if it gives 4hp like they say great If not i wont be happy I plan on dynoing this sled before an d after I also hope to like the sound never heard a mpi 1 before any info thanks dave

Yeah mine said the same thing get the Hauck. I've just had good experiences with Bender. Any idea on the difference of sound? Bender was perfect for me. Had originally intended to get the Whiteknuckle a while ago but the QC was too quiet and the GP was just too loud. Bender was in the middle. I like Bender's throatiness.

RX1 Cowboy.... What kind of price did you have to pay for the Hauck Get-r-Done intake/exhaust system? I have that on my 05 RX1, and I want it for the Apex GT too. Hauck quoted me $1100, or $1400 with the cluching. I wanted to know if it can be gotten any cheaper any where else?

I agree 100% Hauck may be good, but you know how they blow it for me?
By claiming 5 HP as that is tough to do because the stock system is really quite good although heavy. If Houck would claim 3 HP, that I could believe

I think you need to go back a read this thread. You engaged me after I made a statement about Hauck. I don't care what system you run.

Excel spent good money at dyno tech to prove his product works. Allen out lined those gains for everyone to see. I think if your going to push a product you need more then just an endorsement from Woody who won the bracket at the Amsnow shootout last week.

If you don't care about performance like you stated earlier then drop it. We all know you prefer the dual look.

LOL who engauge who jts? i was telling another member what i bought and you said: "Not trying to be a jerk but Hauck's stuff flat out doesn't work." and "My take on it is this. If your not interested in the Excel exhaust keep it stock. Excel worked with a highly respected company that builds Bike exhausts. They tried multiple designs and the one Excel is using is the only one that worked. The other designs lost power." My take is that you should drop this as i have and mind your buisness on what i posted about the hauck pipe, honk you excel horn to someone who is listening.

ps this is the last time ill add to this thread, the next hauck posting will be when i put on the pipes.
