Geez
Hopped on my buds 06 apex rtx(ulmers old grass dragger) after 500 miles on my nytro. This thing felt big; huge; massive...after riding the nytro. The low end was not as good as the nytro but geez...al...whats up with the midrange in this thing....it was semi-turboish! the rtx apex took care of a new broken in 08 800 xp & a 05 mach z until the mqch z installed his racing cdi then stuff changed dramatically. Anyway the apex just felt huge after getting used to the nytro. Apex still has way way more juice mid & top. The apex ride was way more cushy but didn,t take the big stuff as well. Riding the 800 doo was a big dissapointment. It pulled strong but the vibrations was like the 05 900 fusion & throttle response was just numb & wrong. 08 nitro is a force to be reckoned with in 500' but geez...this thing is so tuff to clutch. This is by far the tuffest sled to dial in the clutching i have ever owned. You need a box of helix,s with a real large spread in starting & finish angles.

IMO, Yamaha really limits the top end of the triples as to not step on the 150's toes. Ultimately I think the 150 will always be better on top, but the triple should be giving more than it does....

Jeff Lustila from Lustila racing dialed in his Nytro big time for trail riding, he did real well on the Grass drag circuit as well! If your interested I think he is selling his clutching set-up for his Nytro; or may give up some info on it? Let me know if your interested and I will ask him?

:-o

I am commited to getting this thing dialed in & I am close. I just need the proper helix & I think I found 1.I am also gearing up 1 tooth & no sense doing any more clutch testing until i re- gear
