Same type thing with the trucking. Make no mistake the lack of cooperation in both these areas. Does not help the customers. Us. It frustrates the dealers and slows progress. That said look at the sticker on tunnel. Where it says the sled meets emission standards. That may have to be applied for by both companies separately. This is the govt involvement and supposedly it's not easy or cheap to do. I have no doubt it also takes a lot of time.

The Viper muffler is stamped saying that Arctic Cat meets gov't requirements.

Yes. None of us here actually know if the maps are the same in the ecu. We do know for sure that Yamaha does not need a code upon registration and the EPA certification numbers are different between the two. That said the same issues happen on Cats and Yamaha.

I am bringing my sled in for service tomorrow. Can someone post a bigger photo of the arctic cat tech release I can show to the dealer? My guess is that they are going to be clueless.

Phone first would be my best advice. At least this gives them a chance to do some research without potentially being put on the spot.

It would seem like Yamaha dealers have not yet received the computer and interface cables to do the update. If so someone here would have said so.

As of today Yamaha has still not released the new YSDT or the program for it . We are wishful for next week ! Cold weather is starting to get everyone a little nervous !!!!

Talked with my dealer yesterday, they sell both cat and yamaha. They haven't recieved the whip yet to actually plug into the ecu's, doesn't sound like they have any real time frame yet on when the update will actually be able to happen

My dealer has received his download kit. Go to their web Page then hit the faceBook insigna on the home page. Probably 17-20 items/ pages down you will see a picture of their equipment and manuals. Http://tandryamaha.com

Correction:

Just got off the phone with the lead tech at T&R, the picture of the equipment was taken at the Yamaha School. They do NOT have their equipment yet and don't have a date they will receive theirs.

Is a shame something couldn't just be worked out between cat and yamaha. The cat tool will plug right into the viper but won't work. Watched a couple cats being reflashed today. Very quick easy process. Is pretty cool actually. Even shows a picture of the sled once vin is entered.

The Yamaha tools are being shipped, we have not seen ours yet. Cant wait to get my re-flash done so I can send my comp to evo!~

Not necessarily true. They may just be adjusting the cold start fuel mass map or maybe no maps at all. Maybe they are just fixing communication faults between all the different maps and sensors. I find this more likely. But we don't know that so better safe than sorry.

I agree.
