That's more like it!
Tape is being sent today to RX Warrior to post a clip on the forum of 2 rounds taken on 6/7/03. Also put a little idle clip on there too.

Hey Angleboy - Thanks man, and I hope all RX1 owners do something to make them perform better, it needs it. Keep checking in, and we will make it fly. There's a ZR900 at the track, that has clutching, gearing, and lowered, that is running 10.80's, now that I am catching up to him, he wants to modify the motor.
Hey Nos Pro could you break it down for us Like, Clutching .4 sec, pipe .3 sec, gearing .2 sec, ect.

Nos Pro Everybody seems to be running very simular numbers, for you and I are running in the same tenth, and there is a zr900 running here which runs 10.82 at about 113 mph. Very close.

here is some thing worth a try have your drive axel and drivers trued in a lath and take about .030 off the drivers. ie take the lugs dowen to the same hight as the drivers them selves. or go to 10 touth drivers and do the same and in stall a 42 touth lower gear to maintan your gear ratio. this should improve the angle of atack of the track and pick up some drive line eff hope this helps. there are other gains to be made in the drive line as well the only thing that i have done differtly than what has been noted so far has been by cuttinfg dowen the clips that hold the iner sheve on the post to get the belt side play dowen to .020 this made a big diff in bottem end perf as well as cutting the center of both sheves to alowe the belt to ride higher in the primay at full shift out

Sorry guys, I was gone all weekend. Got to my computer just a little while ago (7:30 CDT Sunday)
BBY (Matt) - I did race this weekend, but it was the atv dirt drags in Fillmore Wis. W.I.R. had a big circle track event this weekend, 5/14/03, but will have Friday, and Saturday to do some good clutching. I raced my 3- wheeler, my 250 quad, and my big quad, (pic in photo forum), and this is how I placed:
250 2-stroke: 1st place, both rounds
350 2-stroke: Fouled plug=Nada
400-699cc: 1st place, both rounds
open class: 2nd place, both rounds
run for fastest atv: 2nd place
run for fastest machine: 3rd place
Results should be in Cycle USA magazine in August, from what the guy said.
Tooold - What do you need help with for NOS?
Black John - I checked the truness of the drivers on a lathe with an indicator. It looked good, so I didn't mess with it. I was going to go the 10 inch drivers, but I didn't think they would work. My adjustment right now is not much. I only had to adjust about a 1/2 inch to tighten track. I will do some figuring, and get back to you.

Ya 8) I really want to try it but I have not heard of anyone useing it on the RX1 yet and I am not a mechanic so I need someone to try it first :?

Hey everyone - Will be going to the track today, 6/20/03. Temperatures look great, with it to be 70's and changing to 50's later on. Today will be all clutching adjustments to the HH's, with different springs and a helix. Right now it is the same as BBY had it, with the exception of a 1/4 inch allen added to the heel. Secondary is set at 80%. Got a new Yami belt, and did some breaking in this last week. I will also be at the track Saturday, 6/21/03 for eliminations, and will do some more testing. Talk to you all later.

Hi everyone, what a long weekend. 6/20/03- temp was 84 degrees, sunny, and humidity was 48%. This night was for the high school kids to race their cars, but others could make time runs, so I thought I could do some clutching to the secondary. Problem was, they didn't spray the track with traction compound. All weekend was with BBY's HH's
6/20/03 track temp was 106 degrees
1st run-52/44 helix set at 80%, silver spring (11.361 @ 111.390 1.621 60 ft.)
2nd run-same as 1st, set at 50%,(11.409 @ 111.005 1.624 60 ft.)
3rd run-same as 1st, set at 100%,(11.557 @ 111.098 1.796 60 ft.)
4th run-same as 1st, set at 70%,(11.443 @ 111.528 1.657 60 ft.)
5th run-went back to stock helix and spring at 60%,(11.251 @ 112.204 1.561 60 ft.)
6/21/03 (they sprayed the track for the outlaw super stocks) 94 degrees with 30% humidity, and sunny. Track temp was 128 Degrees.
1st run-52/44 helix set at 90%,(11.129 @ 112.526 1.527 60 ft.)
2nd run-same as 1st, set at 80%,(11.169 @ 111.744 1.517 60 ft.)
3rd run-same as 1st, set at 90%,(11.168 @ 111.994 1.521 60 ft.)
Kept everything the same as my 3rd run for eliminations, temp dropped to 66 degrees with 65% humidity, and everyone was breaking out,(going faster than their dial-in). So I posted an 11.08. 60 ft. was 1.518, and the 660 ft. was .13 faster than all the other runs I ran, so I slowed down to not breakout, and won first round with an 11.276 @ 106.236. Kept the same dial-in for second round, and we both slowed down so we wouldn't breakout. I Thought I crossed first, but the timer don't lie. Win margin was .03 of a second. I ran a 11.210 hard on the brakes, so it would have run the 11.08 dial-in. Clutch temps went down to a best of 122 degrees on the primary, and 138 on the secondary. All I can say is, the sled hooking hard, and is carrying the front skis about 40-50 ft., and is staying straight as an arrow.

your secondary must still be slipping some if you have more heat in the secondary than in the primary, your 60' looks good, what are the rpm's doing?
