Well I had a pretty good test & tune session yesterday! It was 88*F and the Density Altitude was anywhere from 4,000-4,400 feet. I'm not going to post the reaction times. I've gotta change these new skis. They're not breaking the beam correctly and no matter what I tried to do I was either way red light or just way late!
Run 1: Ulmer Stage 2 Clutch Kit
60: 1.818
1/8: 7.148
MPH: 98.257
1/4: 11.310
MPH: 114.505
Run 2: Adjusted the Pro-Active skid a little (transfer rods) and left everything else the same.
60: 1.605
1/8: 7.013
MPH: 95.936
1/4: 11.189
MPH: 113.899
Run 3: Same as run 2.
60: 1.606
1/8: 6.969
MPH: 98.025
1/4: 11.150
MPH: 113.032
Run 4: Put in the box stock clutching just to try it and see the results (Probably been real close with a straight 43 helix instead of the stock 51/43. It ran 9,000 rpm then slowly climbed up to 10,500 by the end).
60: 1.922
1/8: 7.363
MPH: 95.233
1/4: 11.543
MPH: 114.792
Run 5: Back to Ulmer Racing Stage 2 primary setup with shallower helix angles (backed off 3* on both angles and added 2 grams tip weight).
60: 1.578
1/8: 6.933
MPH: 98.340
1/4: 11.092
MPH: 115.038

60: 1.618
1/8: 6.997
MPH: 98.525
1/4: 11.144
MPH: 114.490
Run 7: Adjusted clutching a little again.
60: 1.519
1/8: 6.879
MPH: 96.834
1/4: 11.044
MPH: 116.272
Run 8:
60: 1.501
1/8: 6.779
MPH: 99.568
1/4: 10.878
MPH: 116.747
So made some nice gains for the day. It looks like the first weekend in June will be the next time I get out to run the Pro Bike/Sled class that Sunday.

WIR Racing
Had a great day Saturday up at WIR in Kaukauna, WI. I met up with Terry and he graciously offered up his Attack to me for the day.
To sum up my day....I sucked, sled was awesome! 20-30 mph headwinds during time trials. I was running 10.35's with his sled. First race, dialed in at 10.32 because wind was gone. Ran 10.88 or something because the N2O bottle was empty...whoops! Baught back in, full bottle, tail wind...and all hell broke loose.
I finally got my act together, had a 1.49 60' time, sled was absolutly hammering! I was so far ahead at the end, I let of with about 150-200 feet left. Guess what, I broke out by almost 2/10ths! I woulda broke out by about 1/2 a second if I stayed with it. Ran a 10.121 with a 10.32 dial in.
Terry is the man! He was a great host, introduced me and my friend Paul to some great people and we had a great time. His day didnt go so well...probably somewhat due to all of the distractions. Luckily, he is racing again today and hopefully will do better.
Unfortunately, Ryan didn't make it...Where were you ????
First pic is me, second is Terry....notice the tree in Terry's pic!!!!

P.S. My new Avatar pic is sweeeeeet! (If I do say so myself...lol)

Yes, it sure does! Was about 77 degrees out. Fortunately, the storm passed through, wind went 180 degrees and tem dropped into the 50's.
I assume that's your old sled???
I wish I would have went down there because I wanted to help him with the jetting actuall the night before it was a little on the lean side and Terry was going to add soime fuel saturday. We where starrting to make some headway Friday night buit there was no traction at all because it was high school drags. We dropped 2 1/2 tenths friday though.

Ran at ESTA today. Didn't make much progress. Ran a 10.95 and 11.03 in trials then first round of elims went 11.17. Wind and weather were a big factor. I wasn't really into it either. Met nyattack as he and his buddy were there today. It was nice to put another name and face together. Porbably taking next weekend off and I hope to get out to another test day soon.
Terry,Ryan, drop some more fuel out of it, that smoke is rich....call me you guys and let me know whats going on, you have to be my eyes so I can help. 330-448-8796
