Bad Oil leak - Mystery solved

So looking at this closer and some old picts on my phone, one theory is that its leaking from the block around the water pump that fits inside the block, past my new o ring I installed, then would the weep hole generate any air flow with the shaft spinning inside it? Maybe that could be causing the spraying??? its not leaking coolant or mixing oil and coolant. Some how its getting from the crankcase around the water pump then out and a lot of it. A half a qt a mile. Its a massive leak but only under throttle, sitting all summer, dry, idling till its hot, dry. Only when I get on it does it spray. Maybe my crankcase breather is plugged and that little O ring has no chance? I dunno grasping for straws now. Hind site I probably should have just replaced the entire waterpump.

See the marks on my waterpump? I cleaned this up with a scotchbrite pad but maybe its not good enough?

If that bearing in the picture is lubed by engine oil then it must have a seal behind it.
Looks like item 6 is the oil seal and item 7 is the mechanical seal.
The weep hole is a "dry" area between the water pump and the engine oil where the shaft is driven from. If the coolant seal leaks coolant then coolant comes out it and if the seal leaks oil behind the bearing then engine oil comes out of it. Keeps the two systems from getting contaminated in case one seal fails.

Hope this helps.

I have a Yamacharger on my Attak.
Last year for no apparent reason while doing an aggressive 2 mile run on the lake I blew out half the oil and luckily had stopped to wait for people when I noticed it.
It was a real mess with oil in belly pan and in track and suspension. I towed the sled home into garage, cleaned it up and could not find where it was leaking from.
Through process of elimination I determined it was a frozen crankcase vent line, it is vented different from stock with Yamacharger installation and more subject to freezing up.
I put over 1000 miles on it after that and never leaked or burned another drop of oil.

Thank you sir! That is probably the source of the oil in such a quantity like I am seeing. I should have replaced that while I was in there. At least I have something to look at once I pull it out again! Much appreciated boys, I will follow up once its out.

Just to follow up @1nc 2000 was right! The oil seal in the water pump was loose and rolling around. All my oil was going out the weep hole.

You can see its blocking the hole. It’s completely eaten away. No idea why.

Bad one on right, other used one on left:

Thank you everyone for the help! Good to get this one solved!
