I can make a quick adjustment tomorrow. That secondary bolt supposed to be like 20 ft. lbs? It took a long 14 mm wrench and another one as leverage to break it free.

I never go by where the belt is sitting in the secondary, I set the belt tension to where the sled ALMOST creeps forward at idle. You wanna be below the top of the sheeves 1 - 2 mm.

Creep off the ground, correct? With the track off the ground it creeps tiny bit now and then. Any tighter and the belts squeals pretty bad idling on the ground or off the ground with brake on.

Set proper deflection plenty of info on correct way, that may end up flush, down, or above, me personaly measure my o.d. of belts to get consistency with clutchs a longer belt so it rides outside the secondary for better holeshots...free gearing!

Yes, sounds like you have it set the way I prefer. Looser means you have lost some power waiting for the clutch to engage when applying throttle.Creep off the ground, correct? Screws on the backside of clutch?Did you remove the factory screws on the backside off the clutch? So, to get the belt lower in the sheeves tighten the adjuster to open the sheeves more.

See 1:08 for where and how to remove the bolts on the back side of the clutch.
There are no belt adjustment screws on a Sidewinder secondary. The vipers and old school secondaries yes, but not the winders.

Agree, my bad. When DennyTuna mentioned the screws I assumed this was a SRViper thread. Clearly this was a SW post. There are no belt adjustment screws on a Sidewinder secondary. The vipers and old school secondaries yes, but not the winders.

No problem, I just didn't want any confusion for people. I knew what you both meant, but others may not.

There is also a Thunder Products YouTube video showing the install of a belt adjuster on a Sidewinder if people need it.

I run mine 1-2mm above the secondary and no squealing with the 8jp beltAny of the adjusters work well, with that said I use Thunders. With a stock 8JP belt you should be 1-2mm below top of sheave.
