Does anyone have any issues with there sleds making like a grinding noice when they take off, mostly when it gets warmed up, or letting off the gas hitting the brake then getting back on it??

A deep squeal? Yes, don't know if that's what you mean though? Like a full gas to full brake and back, hammer down in a corner thing? lol. I'm sure in my case it was just the belt. I don't think the sled backshifts good at all, but to me it doesn't seem to matter much with the four stroke.

yea like a squeal but it almost sounds like metal, but it is definitly coming from the belt
I wonder if your track is ratcheting?Try tightening both adjusters 1/2turn and if it goes away your track is tensioned perfect.

It sounds more like the belt area though, It won't do it alll the time either just sometime, i tightened my track to spec today and put some new slides on and i am going to clean my belt to see if that takes care of it.

Ya, mine did it for the better part of a winter untill i finally changed the belt. I don't remember if it's totally gone, but i know it doesn't ring a bell that it bothers me anymore. Must've worked, lol.
A broken secondary spring will do that.

I will have to inspect my clutch a little better, i never heard it the first season, just last year mostly.

Don't know if this is it but if you are locking up the track with the break and then stabbing the throttle your secondary (driven) clutch is not back shifted and the primary is coming back in and it is like you are trying to start out in fifth gear. Pulse the break witch will stop you faster any way and that will allow the track to turn some and allow the driven clutch to back shift.

^^^Agreed. I think it just doesn't back shift worth a darn.

No mater how well it back shift's, If you lock the track to a dead stop before it back shift's and stab it again it will slip the belt. A better back shift set up will shorten the time frame that it will take to shift but it is still not the way to come in to a corner. You just need to let the track turn some instead of locking it up and i will bet the problem will be gone.

well that what you should be doing anyways.
Brake before the corner, cost into the corner, accelerate through the corner.

that works better on with outside-in corners.marpolsdofer said:well that what you should be doing anyways.

Not saying i "skid" like a grade school kid on a bike into a corner, lol! Just times where i'll come in hard, brake lock, square, and pin it. I've been forced to try a lot of things to get this thing to turn with the stock skis.
Every corner, every situation, snow, ice, traffic, passing, speed, lines etc, you corner a little differently. You also have to adapt to how your sled is working, so yes, if it's bothering it, it's not working. Heck, i use to hold my fan taped and just fan the brake for corners.
