x2 , very happy with the Dalton spring also , 70
X3 here...put Dalton’s Black/Orange Secondary spring in my 18 RTX, along with their 33/35 Helix, And TD Heavy Duty Rollers And it seems and feels great. Never even used the stock Secondary spring or stock Helix or stock Rollers. So far i have 417 miles on and I’m quite happy..hopefully it continues.

I have to ask, are you also running a reverse angle helix along with this mongo driven spring too?
The combo of the two, a small reverse angle helix and this mongo driven spring, really prevent upshift and promote belt heat trying to slow the shift.
Can't imagine why so many are trying to run a combo like this, other than the fact some of these tunes just have no one home and are lazy on the bottom-end and mid-range so they compensate here with a combo like this.

I have a 22 gearI am going to try the Dalton 33/35 helix on my sled. Will be running the Hurricane 270 race tune, STM Weights, Orange Secondary Spring, stock gearing since I can't find a 22 anywhere and I have the 1.6" ice cobra track.

Yup 35/39, I bought into the bullshit hype, always had my doubts about the reverse helix, I've posted many times how I'm unsure about it. I have an ulmer helix which I'm unsure of the angle but it's a progressive and very aggressive. I just didn't have time to dial it in before my trip.

Yup 35/39, I bought into the bullshit hype, always had my doubts about the reverse helix, I've posted many times how I'm unsure about it. I brought my stock helix with me and had it in when I blew my first belt a couple days ago. This one today I was running the 35/39. I have an ulmer helix which I'm unsure of the angle but it's a progressive and very aggressive. I just didn't have time to dial it in before my trip.
Personally, I think it’s your spring..and not the reverse Helix as much. Have a Dalton Reverse 33/35 in Mine, with their Black/Orange spring, and clutches are cool, and 417 miles on with no issues So far.

Actually I’m not sure lol...got rid of the stock one cuz it’s not as good as the Dalton one(Dalton’s helixes are works of art), and have to say it’s been all go so far. Comes out of the hole very crisply and with authority absolutely no lag at all.

Not saying any helix is better then the next. I must be the only guy on the straight helix thinking on these things? I run the straight 38 and feel like no one else is running a straight helix with some more angle then stock. Surely others have tried a straight angle helix on these winders? By no means do I believe it's the only clutch answer or trying to say I have the best set up.

OK sounds like a plan,i will have dale send me out one tomorroy,in the mean time may give allens red torsion cat spring another try,but this time at 10 degrees he wanted,with that 38,until I get dales spring. Thanks MikeI'd run the Dalton Black/Orange Pete. IMO that TPI orange is darn heavy. Try the Dalton spring and 38 combo to start.
Too heavy driven springs just heat things up and pinch the belt hard for no reason. Ideal setup is just enough driven to prevent slippage, any more than that and it just makes heat. You only want enough driven to prevent slippage is all.

I don't understand the TP setup 33/35 whit stiff spring you need steeper cam
Gforce is pushing a straight 43* or 45 *for PT tune along with their weight and bigger primary roller.
I run 41/37 and next week i try 44/41.

What helix angle are you running?So you have made from the looks of it, three changes that make life worse on the belt. That heavy mongo orange driven spring is going to add heat and be less efficient, the 22 tooth gear makes it harder on belt, and studding the track.
Deflection is not going to change anything to contribute or detract from belt life what so ever.
That spring is way too stiff IMO making way too much heat just pinching the belt all the time. Too stiff of a driven springs like this make heat and transmit less power to the track when not needed for belt pinch.
I'm running a very high traction package in mine (lets just say it doesn't not spin unless in loose or powder and the studs doing nothing, ( it in fact, ratchets the track and the track needs to be tight! ) , a 270 Hurricane Race tune and 22 tooth gear with a very aggressive helix and Daltons Orange/Black driven spring ( its just right, not to soft, and not too stiff ) in mine wrapped between 60 and 70 depending on conditions, no heat and no belt breakage, put 675 miles on in the UP this week thrashing on it. Same belt the sled came with. 840 miles stock and 675 boosted. No wear and does what its suppose to do.

I like your thinking.. I run The TD eco trail. Pretty mild tune(good though). I really like the straight 38.. If I would try any other helix(not straight angle) it would be a 38/35 OR 39/36 .I don't understand the TP setup 33/35 whit stiff spring you need steeper cam
