Best Muffler for quiet and performance?

I have the first exhaust Schmidt Bros. made for the Nytro and at 9,200 miles it sounds the same as new and is still in great condition, no flaws what so ever. Very happy with the product.

In your opinion, what is the best performance muffler out there that isn't very much louder than stock?
In my opinion, the answer is a streetbike silencer. Much lighter than the OEM silencer as well as the snowmobile specific aftermarket stuff. Lightyears ahead of the snowmobile specific aftermarket stuff when looking at quality and finish. Close to stock noise levels, especially if you get one with a so called "dB killer insert". The only drawback would be that you will likely have to make your own adaptor and / or bracket.

I am thinking about selling my schmidt bros can and going under tunnel. i need to look at the undertunnel cans first.

I have a brand new skinz ultra q and think I will sell it and get a Schmidt but there pricey!

I had one of those and switched too... I hated the skinz can.

WHy didnt you like the Skinz??

Really started to get loud and really emphasized the extra popping that happens in the exhaust.

Our new system is available soon, and will have special summer pricing available soon!
We have baffle kits available with it for the guys who want things quieter. Decibel readings/tests posted very soon.
