Beware of muffler falling apart

Another question please, any of you guys that had the muffler failure couldn't you hear a big diff in sound?

Mine did it around 2000 miles. Yes it is loud and hurts your ears when you are driving. The more it breaks apart the louder it is. If it doesn't sound right check it out before you melt stuff like I did. I didn't get pic the dealer has the muffler. He had a spare and got me up and running until my parts come in. It melted my panels and oil lines.

That was my question, I have a hard time with sympathy if you know something is wrong and keep riding it (unless you have no choice).

Yes, very loud and mine was vibrating the shielding so not only was it loud, it was tinny sounding. I did not get to see it, but when it gets loud....it's probably opening up or losing packing.

Wish I would have looked but never heard of it before and didn't think it was going to lead to a number of units.....sorry guys.

Is it happening on a specific model or all models ??

I have an XTX with about 1900 miles and no problem.........yet.

I love this machine........don't know where to go if I have to get rid of it.

Get rid of it? Why?

no its just the stock ARCTIC CAT muffler. my buddies 2013 1100T did it at 1200 miles.

This is unreal. Wonder if this will get fixed on the 15's. How can we spend this kind of cash on a product with so many known issues. Yes we can fix it even though they should from the start. Then is the manufacture really fixing it?? Whats next?? Pictures would be great to see!

Buy it, ride it, if it breaks fix it. A muffler failure is no big deal. I suppose it could ruin a ride, but I would sure think we could get a pic or something here and then try to figure out just what is happening.
