Blew belt at 300 miles?

I think you're correct and that I did get a bad belt. The replacement one now has over 700 miles and still looks like new and my driving habits have only become harder on the sled not easier. During the breakin peroid I was pretty gentle except for some powder riding. I think the combo of a new tight sled and a bad belt caused the failure. The top of the belt delaminated I did not burn up the sides from slippage like LB has postulated. 1/3 of the top of the belt was ripped off and happened several days after I thought I could smell some minor belt slippage/burn. I was all of a sudden within a 10 mile span chunks were flying off. I owe it to a bad batch of belts not my sled or my driving.
