I blew a belt a couple days ago with less than 1000km on sled. I was WOT running close to 9000rpm. Conditions were cold like -30C. When the belt blew it smashed a hole through the plastic. Clutches were a very warm but not hot. I could touch them.
I running TD powertrail with turboforce exhaust and Dalton weights. Hopefully this is a one time affair.
Ang suggestions to avoid this happening. Current belt is 8JP

Most guys know if they are gonna push these, they need a BOP Lower pan Guard, along with its top section.
Reading this site periodically is very important i find. I highly recommend it!
Straight out of my build thread: A whole whack of info.

I just got my belly pan protector from BOP and since I need to take my primary off to make some adjustments can you drill the necessary holes with just the clutch removed? Thanks

I've seen bottom of side panel as well as behind protector with holes in them. Perhaps this needs to be re-engineered? Just sayin.
