Word from my local dealer today was that there will soon be a bolt on super-charger kit for 20-30 hp gains. No motor mods, fits under the hood with no issue, just bolt it on. Same for a "mini turbo" for apx 50 hp, and then there will be a full turbo kit for big numbers.

Super charger estimated at $1700 here in Canada ..... Not sure if this is a Yammy product or aftermarket (didn't say).... but sounds interesting.

I need to get the full details from him ........

I wonder about fuel milege? Cause I hear that super chargers cut your fuel milege in half.

sorry, dont mean to be too skeptical...but the mods to make this happen, would be more than the $$ mentioned...

Only way to get down to those numbers is huge volume, and the sledding world in total does not have those kinds of volumes of production...

but would LOVE to see it happen....I only wanted that much power gain...did not need as much power as I got in my turbo...

Sure. But you get where you're going twice as fast, so it all evens out.

^^^ Good point^^^

I would really like to see a kit like that for the Phazer. To bring it up to 100+HP would be huge in my mind.

i'm with mt on this guys. sounds like a pipe dream.

the cost of the intercooler and turbo (or super charger) alone is alot more than what is posted. then you have to pay for developement, distributing, advertising ect... not worth it to most speed shops. the reality is, 4500 for a bare bones turbo set up, is about the best you can expect.

our market isnt large enough for the above, "discounts"

Not to be a 'naysayer'
:o|
but wouldn't they charge what the market will bear? So possible, YES, CHEAP, "WHY?" not likely.

I hope I am wrong, ;)! but rarely do real HP and cheap / easy go togther.

My two cents,
Yamadoo

The kit is made by G-FORCEdivision in Quebec, it will be called the YAMCHARGER and will sell for 2200.00$cnd.

Not my expeience, I am getting over 14 mpg [Cdn Gallon] with my Stage 1 MPI Supercharged RX1. I used to get about 18 mpg on my Warrior. No problem getting 110 miles plus to a tank unless you are hard on the loud handle all the time.

I figure about 20% loss in mileage for near 40% increase in power. Well worth it and very trail friendly. Throttle response is right there,

That is not balls out driving, brisk trail ride with some drag racin whoopassin of 2 strokes thrown in for good measure.

Gotta love Stealth Power.

Looks almost stock other than the Ohlins, sounds stock and goes like stink !!!!! [without the smell]
