Boost but no go!

DO YOU HAVE A BOOST GAUGE, IF SO ARE YOU MAKEING ANY BOOST AT ALL, IS IT REAL SLOW TO BUILD BOOST, ANY POPPING SPUTTERING ETC., IS AIRBOX ATTACHED PROPERLY ALSO CHECK WASTEGATE ACTUATOR ROD AND MAKE SURE VALVE IS CLOSING COMPLETLY.

plug off the pitot jet completely and try it , if it gets better , then it is too lean , if it gets better w/ that, you may be losing some boost to the "t"s that the pitot tube line runs to .

I just talked to Powder on the phone. Nice guy. I think we figured out what is wrong. I don't want to spoil the suprise though..... He is going to check it out tomorrow and report back to us.

Tried to check for air leek in t's glued up real good and don't move any now. Went out today 350 in the tube. Will not run when boost comes up goes lean. Pluged the tube off and got it to run without going lean. Rode with a new Vector can just pull him down a road. Still not very impressive but at least rideable.

Sorry about the double post. This week I will take the carbs off again and recheck t's. It did seamed like boost came up better only about 3or4 seconds.

powder 1: Your problem is really making me nervous. I expect delivery of my Stage 2 Monday or Tuesday.

Spray 25 and all the guys seem to have the answers to most of the turbo problems.

Did you look over: http://www.rx1.info/viewtopic.php?t=3075

Bender Turbo in the mountains. Maybe theres something in that post that the guys are forgetting about. Good luck

The improvement is good but not good enough. How much oil are you getting in your airbox? Is it enought that it is coming out of the exhaust? The oil in the system will cause it to not run very good also. You need to talk to Bender tomorrow about that oil jet.

Also is it weak all over or only in certain throttle positions? How is the actual throttle curve?

Not much oil in charge tube none in air box. With tube pluged responce was good no bog. If I ran down the road in and out of boost after a couple of mi the guage goes lean and shuts off no reeding. Stop for a couple of minuts and all is fine. Even when guage is off seames to run the same. Also the same happens when boondocking arround at low rpm. It never seames to go ritch at any throtle. In the sun it is hard to reed guage maby I'm to old to see. My friend has a cpr and it is very fast no lag and fun to hang on to. Mine even under boost never goes over 9200 rpm's his goes right to 10300 and stayes. We have about the same clutching mine just doesent make power like his. Will call Bender Monday and MPI maby get better news from them.

Open your hood , let your sled idle , spray carb cleaner all around all of your vacuum lines , and your airbox , I always do this w/ mine after removing & installing the air box to ck for vacuum / boost leaks , your engine shouldn't change rpm or sound at all because the air filter is at the back under the seat ..........just an idea.

I do that too on nonturboed motors. It won't work very well with the turbo though because it is under pressure.

Gotta disagree w/ you there , the engine has vacuum at idle , my boost guage has boost , and vacuum readings it only gets boost when the engine gets a certain amount of load on it and the turbo spools up..........at idle it shows a vacuum reading .
