K got a sled from a buddy he put new stator in and rectifier sled has 20kms since put in never ran right after it was put in just pulled front nose of and stator wires are burnt what would cause this this is my first phazer no nothing about them

People say burnt stator for a few reasons some totally not stator related. Such as pickup bad. Are wires physically burnt? Where exactly?

They are melted together just above where it comes out engine

I short someplace in the harness.

x2 on a pinched or rubbed wire. check over where the wiring comes out of the engine as there are a few spots it could wear from what i remeber.

A bit more info he sent me in a PM:

Rough Start/No Idle/Backfiring

I'm having same problem bought a phazer with new statorput in and was doing same just found stator wires burnt what could do this

I think we need more info. Which wires are melted (stator or sensor)? Replacement stator new or used? Any error codes showing? The more info you can provide the better.

Aftermarket stator the 3 white wires are burnt and code 46

Maybe something that is causing a high current draw, possibly the warmers might be shorted enough to draw a lot of current but not enough to trip an error.

This thread points to a bad voltage regulator. Perform tests once you get the new stator in to confirm.

Also check the connector on the ground wire that passes just under the battery. It is known to corrode and cause all sorts of electrical gremlins. Just cut it out and splice/solder it.
