Hello guys,
I have significant slop at the bottom of my steering pivot arm assembly. I contacted upbushman about his kit weeks ago but have not heard back. I really only want the parts at the end of the assembly anyway, does anyone know exactly which parts i would need to tighten it up at base of pivot arm, and if yamaha updated them? I heard old yamaha parts wore out really fast after replacement in the steering assembly.

thanks for the help,
seth

Try sending him a PM again. He might be swamped or just missed your message. If not, there may be another solution. I remembered this kit available from Yamaha consisting of two bearings and bolts.
Part # SMA-BEARI-NG-KT

I know it is just a matter of time before I will have to replace both my steering and ski spindle bushings on my Multi-Purpose. I clicked on your link Mooseman and was surprised that Yamaha shows this part fitting Phazers only. Do you think that is correct or would it fit MPs also?

Yes, they are interchangeable except for the spindles, which are wider on the Lite/MP.
