Any advice.... Im trying to hook up better out of the hole. Im spinning for easily the first few hundred feet down the track. This is on a stock suspension. im currently running a 10.2 at 136mph, I have a ton of Et stuck in my 1/8 mile time. Any advice?? I was told to take some weight off the clutch weights... would this bee a good start?
what are your 60fts.If your spiining for a few hundered ft it's a supesion issue.Without seeing pics can't really tell how your skid is set up

My best 60' is 1.7... but i dont break loose until the boost kicks in real hard... realistically i dont break loose until after the 60' I could link you a movie of me racing at the track. you can see and hear the sled breaking loose.
on facebook if you have one... my name is Andrew Harris. or search my e-mail at yamaharacer59@hotmail.com

a bad 60 ft time with the stock skid would be high 1.4's. Typically if you can shave off a 10th in 60ft it's worth 2 10ths on the big end.You might not notice but you are spiining if your running a 1.7.

Well I got to the track today.. I ran a 9.9 at 136 I strapped the suspension down so there was not so much travel and that seemed to help. Unfortunately I got to the track and realized I forgot all my clutching equipment. The good news is every time I have gone my times have dropped atleast 3 tenths of a second. any ideas on what my clutching should be?

Get your front and rear suspensions tied down even further! Put a set of SRX or SX shocks in the front suspension and get it so it is only 2" or a little higher off the ground. Take some chain or rubber straps and start strapping down the rear!

do you have any front shocks laying around???? I only have the fox floats.
Wow I just watched the vid that thing is full ride height.Do as Allen said slam that thing.
You can drop the air out of the floats and strap the back.

I have taken the air out of them before and I didn't have enough ski pressure. I got really wiggly on the top end and stopping so I pumped them back up.
That's because the back wasn't strapped down too.

Let the air out of your fox floats and then take a piece of nylon strap and strap them going from the top bolt to the bottom bolt so they can not "lift" as you go down the track.
