Doo is getting awful close to the 998 turbo but the ET time still has the 998 as the king. I would have never guessed a heavy 4 stroke could wheelie that far

Sorry wrong link above

This "shootout" has been meaningless for years.

Agree also.....

The sleds aren't broken in.
Dirt.
Need a third run.
BUT, it gets us talking!

The 850 blew everyone away.
Then again that Mach lost tons of time that high in the air.
Shame there was no SRX or Poo Poo's there.

The Mach didn't use Launch Control. It might of flipped over. LOL

I find this hilarious, all the smack talk from the winder guy's about the Mach Z before the old forge shoot out yet not one SRX showed up, I don't think this shoot out is meaningless its been put on for a long time, alot of magazine people that cover the snowmobile world gather info here and post results in their magazine, fact of the matter is the Mach Z is no joke, and when Doo figures out how to keep the skis on the ground it will even be faster, Poo didn't show up either but this shoot out was all about the stock SRX/ T Cat VS the Mach Z, so seeing with your eyes and not your ears the Winder guys copped out and hid, at least the T CAT guys showed.

The SRX hasn’t changed in years so just go back and look at past years results. Let me know what you find.

How would it look to have sleds to send to a meaningless “Shootout” when your telling customers that ordered the same sled they won’t be getting there’s cause we can’t build enough. Besides as you love to point out the Winder is just a Cat with different stickers so I guess it was there!

Found that There was no Mach Z last year, thanks

The SRX has Yamaha clutches among a few other things which could have made a difference at the finish line, but we will never know now will we, 2021 old forge shoot out is now over for this year, and the results has the Mach Z in the winner circle.

This is not an "open to all comers shoot out" This was started years ago by Sno-Goer(?) magazine for new sleds to compete. The manufactures brought sleds here to run.
It's not like Joe Schmoe can pull in off the road to run his personal sled.
The interest in this event has been waning for many years. For 2 manufactures to not even show up shows how far the event has fallen in the eyes of the snowmobile business.
The poor attendance also shows how irrelevant it has become. Nobody cares about this thing, its run in the dirt.
If they cancelled it no one would notice.

Now move the event to a location with actual snow later in the year and maybe it becomes more of an event again. As of now, meh

Trolling again I see. Question for you, have you ever been on a SW? If you have, what didn't you like? Or I'll ask in a different way, what do you like about your Apex over the SW?

I certainly don't hate my old Apex, at least like you appear to hate the SW. I think the Apex was strong in some things over the SW but, I'll take the ride and power of the SW over the Apex any day.
