Update on my sled....new secondary shaft, new bearings, new top gear, new reverse gear (splines were bad), new shift fork buttons, new lock-nut, new seals. Hopefully have back tomorrow.
Was told the 16 shaft/bearing will not retro fit into the case....it is what I was told.
Any pictures or video?

According to the tech updates in Faq the 16 chain case parts fit. Hope they didn't get that wrong.

The case part # is different with a "10" between the 16 and the 14
Just going by what Bruce at TA Said.

Sure looks like new bearing is bigger od but it does say it retrofits to 2014

I wonder if you have to buy a new inner case as well? With the new bearing/snap ring design that would be my guess.
Could be. Ever try to get brake pads? Whole outer caliper comes with. Pads groove it.
Is for sure a different gasket on new case. Will find out this spring whether the bearing fits old case. The case part # is different with a "10" between the 16 and the 14

I have a 2014 ZR7000 SP with 7700km on it. Chain never ran too tight, and oil was change 3 time. After saw this forum, I decided to upgrade the complete shaft/bearing to prevent problem. Complete upgrade kit came with 2 bearings (chain case side (new design) & driven side + support), 15-16 new shaft ( new design), and all snap rings, shims required for retrofit. Instructions included in the kit. (Arctic Cat #1702-468)
I didn't have problem, but when I checked the old bearing with no chain/spocket on it, it started to be a bit noisy.
I spend $203 CAD for the kit, but I saved to buy the special socket to remove the special nut in to the chain case. Maybe I spend really $100 more for the job.
Thank you for this forum!

Under the Yamaha sticker we can see the Arctic Cat parts number 1702-???
Chain case side of the shaft seem to be identical to my upgraded 15-16 shaft.
