LOL, I asked this question a couple years ago about changing brake pads and everyone said, because of the engine braking, the last a very long time.
I did look at mine and there did seem to be plenty of pad left, but I think I will double check them again just to make sure?

Mine look like they have a lot of material left. I just happened to have my manual open and checked the specs. I pulled my pads out and they are in bad shape. Falling apart and wearing the rotor a bit.

Engine braking certainly does preserve brake pads. I rarely ever get sleds in that have excessively worn pads. With that said if anyone needs some I got lots of good used sets here.
